I would definitely avoid a striped shirt, and I would go for a solid colour, also for the tie. If you don't like a white shirt, maybe silver or light blue would be fine.

I can listen to as many Coldplay songs as I like without feeling kind of guilty, but it's not the same with chocolate. So...Coldplay! Though chocolate on Coldplay is the best compromise.
