  1. woah woah woah... we don't need Molly, Braddock or the rest of Coldplaying's best posting talent walking out the door. All of you guys in this thread are great and make this board fun to be a part of and live life on. I realize this situation has a lot of long-time Coldplayers upset and I understand that. Although this is just one lowly post from a newish user around here, but whatever -- can we not consider this an extenuating circumstance? Reilly is known and loved by many around here and we can all argue he has contributed to the character and appeal to this forum, which is what you want in a forum -- it's what makes them thrive. You need interesting and fun people, or else it's all a little bit grey-scale. Ok so Reilly has a mouth and he broke rules, and I am not saying rules should just be held in disregard, but for what many of us here deem an important member, can he and the administrators of this forum not have a heart to heart and clear the air and be given one more life? Maybe he wouldn't come back if the offer was even extended, but I think it's at least an idea worth mulling over. That's all I got everybody. *Holds head down*
  2. Well, damage report: Felt the final went fairly well. Answered nine of the ten with confidence (15 points a piece). The last one I completely winged. I had no clue what the instructor was referring to. Apparently she was referring to some additional reading but I went back and checked all of the additional material for the course and I couldn't find anything referencing social media which is what the question was about. So I put on my BS goggles and did my best BS effort ever. Took me 2 hours and like 20 minutes for the entire exam. Here's hoping everybody.
  3. Don't blame you, clicking those links is like staggering into the dark abyss.
  4. ^^That's so freakin trippy.
  5. Thanks! I'll need it. Was one of those things where I couldn't study anymore and no more amount of studying would really make a difference in the results, time to just put my humble sacrifice on the table. By the way everybody, happy gateway to the weekend!
  6. Taking marketing final in T minus one hour, 40 minutes. Ten essay questions, all multi-part, 3 hours time limit. God have mercy on me! haha. Need to start drinking the caffeine now if I have any shot of making it out alive.
  7. I'm fairly new here and getting a feel for a lot of the posters and thought he was pretty good. It's a sad day for Coldplaying.
  8. ^^^ Congrats! Always a good feeling to know you did well on everything!
  9. turning everything I've ever learned in life on its head. It's not manly to have a guy succumb to the powers of a nestle crunch bar. Yet it's acceptable for a woman to haha.
  10. Even the word quantum is just.. nerve-racking. I want to hide from it.
  11. I so badly want this song to be amazing. PLEASE be amazing!
  12. see if I studied quantum whatever it is.. I'd do a disservice to civilization rather than a service :laugh3:. I'm just not cut out for that sort of stuff.
  13. People who are zealots about whatever it is they are fannish about. People who look at faults with a given item/thought/idea and completely deny them even when they are as plain as day. Fanboy/girlism. :D
  14. What in the love of ALL that is holy... mind = blown
  15. What, like Apple?
  16. I like glasses on a girl. I like it when girls put their hair up and think it looks bad, when really, that's when it looks its best.
  17. I guess I'll throw this in this board because I think it is most applicable here. I am a novice musician. I play piano, and I really enjoy playing, and I have a loooooooooooooooooong way to go in my journey before I am ever that great at it. Though I am proud of where I came from -- I started at 18, and I am proud to say I can play most Coldplay songs as they were played on the albums. Though this isn't really about Coldplay as it is about music in general. I just recently roughly finished learning "Your Song" by Sir Elton John on piano, and I was discussing with a friend of mine how great Elton John's music is. And I brought up the fact that I was proud to have learned my first Elton John song, and he pointed out that it was nothing but 3-5 chords and how it's more simplistic in nature. I don't take that as a slight to my piano playing abilities at all haha because I will be the first to admit I suck more than I do anything else that great, but I hate this notion that floats around in the music world that songs have to be complex for them to be worthy of high regard. Some of the best damn songs I have ever heard on this planet are more simplistic in nature, such as "Your Song" such as "The Scientist" such as "Clocks" such as "Politik." In fact, most of Coldplay songs are built around basic chords that mesh incredibly well together. "Fix You" is another one. How about Louie Armstrong's "Wonderful World" -- the list goes on. I personally like clean music that is well structured with chords that flow effortlessly into others. I don't like music that jumps, skips, and stutters into different places every 10 seconds. This is probably why I like Coldplay's style so much, and the same as Elton John or other musicians who CAN make beautiful songs through simple chords. I wish this ridiculous notion would just go away. Songs do NOT have to be complex to be good. At all.
  18. Give yourself more credit man, this was an excellent cover, and your singing was great, much better than mine. I play piano and sing, but I suck at singing but I still enjoy doing it haha, find playing songs themselves kind of bland without the singing. The thing is though, if I am not guided by Chris's voice via ipod, I can't sing for shit. You sang that actually pretty well in my mind without any guidance or help. Really, great cover man, and great guitar playing.
  19. I am not original enough to be an artist, or creative enough, although I wish I was. I'd just like to be self-employed. Not a huge fan of working for people. Would rather set my own schedules and enjoy my life in that fashion, you know?
  20. Sounds better than pushing paper all day long.
  21. This. Then "The Scientist" and then I was a believer for life.
  22. My brother brought home a pack of oreos today that had "double stuf" and I pulled one out and thought to myself, these don't look "double stuf" at all, and then I heard on the news tonight a story about how double stuf oreos really aren't double stuf.. Mind blowing moment that made me lol. Sounds stupid now that I am typing it. Sorry all.
  23. Good night sir. Nice chat.
  24. I love Don't Panic. Epic for less than what a 3 min song?
  25. Not necessarily pissed, more just nervous. Reality smacks you in the face and then you start thinking about stuff, that's all really haha. But hey, we live in a beautiful world so how bad could it be haha.
