I don't think it's a matter of Wedding Bells being on the album or not. He was probably expressing Chris' preference of shallow lyrics to better ones. This could very well be Eno's influence, Brian Eno could secretly be trying to take the sanctity that the band once had and crush it in his grip. Like imagine his head on Chris' head; he just whispers sweet nothings of musical monotony and serene squalor into Chris' sweet little ears. The songwriter's eyes open wide and they glisten, his smile so big, and then all of a sudden motherfu- PARA PARA PARA WA WA WA WA WA WA WA Martin's brain matter flies all over the walls, his inspiration turns it several different shapes and colors, and you have the lovely little ditty that is Mylo Xyloto.

What I find comical is that you all refer to those who prefer Parachutes/AROBTTH as the "true fans." Wouldn't the true fans be a little more sheepish, wanking over Paradise just as much as ETIAW and conducting in one-on-all combat versus any and all stupid haters? We're not real Coldplay fans. Hell at this point, we're hardly even Coldplay fans at all. A forum is built for discussion, not blind love. I'd rather live my life with no arms and no legs than blindly follow any band the way some of you do. A gram is better than a damn, I suppose. Enjoy your superficial world state, I guess. If they're only doing their job, then they could at least do a good job of it. They're businessmen and market strategizers; I don't want to consider myself an artist a minute of my life if they belittle the title as much as they do. I can write better songs than Paradise. You could probably write a song better than Paradise. Chris Martin certainly can, but he would rather settle for mediocrity. I'm not going to stare at the hypnoflow for all too long, I'm finished. Wake me up when MX drops like a deuce, I'll be enjoying fine new releases by Feist, James Blake, Wilco, and others in the meantime. Those new Drake songs surfaced, I think I'll get to those tonight.

If we can get a hold of some instrumental stems for Paradise, we as a forum should rewrite and edit parts of the song and get someone with a voice similar to Chris' to sing it and record it over. I want this for Undisclosed Desires too. Then I could put this new and improved version in my library in place of the original Paradise. :)

Guise. GUIZE. Maybe we're just not Coldplay fans anymore because we don't appreciate their artistic vision. It seems as though this fanbase is a H@t3R fr33 z0n3 and we should all disable our coldplaying accounts immediately.

My biggest vice with Parasite is the lyrical content and lack thereof. No spark, nothing. The instrumentation is 8/10 easy, it's like Coldplay's Undisclosed Desires. As for Rihanna, I agree. She's just another instrument in the song. I just don't understand why they would pick a woman born in Barbados to sing on Princess Of China. No Chris Columbus, you can't get to the west Indies, there's an entire continent in the way.

^But the transition from X&Y to VLV was a significant increase in quality.

Hypocrisy at its best. Why can't people who like the song leave people who dislike the song their own opinions? This forum is to discuss Coldplay, not to worship them.

I don't care who sings the song or what it sounds like. The instrumental on this track is easily 8/10. But the lyrics lag and soil the song, they absolutely ruin it in every way.
