  1. Well I know, but it does get a lot of hate on here from time to time.
  2. I don't care what any of you say A Whisper is pretty great.
  3. It's convincing and it's got potential. I see no wrong with it.
  4. Oh my word! It's just oozing with potential! :wacky:
  5. With all our luck, it's Beth/Rest-style Bon Iver.
  6. I wouldn't go to Coachella in 2012, it doesn't seem like anyone terribly exciting would be playing. I'm holding off until 2013. :)
  7. Very true. I hope we get some insight on these lyrics.
  8. Stars released Fixed and We Don't Want Your Body before TFG dropped, and then they premiered Dead Hearts, Wasted Daylight, etc. through music sites like COS. Arcade Fire released The Suburbs/Month Of May (double A-side single), Ready To Start, AND We Used To Wait before The Suburbs dropped. Broken Social Scene had World Sick and Forced To Love/All To All (double A-side single) before FRR dropped last year. Hell, even Modest Mouse released three (four counting King Rat with the WWD pre-order) singles from their 2009 EP before it dropped. The recent Danger Mouse/James Mercer duo Broken Bells had The High Road and Vaporize out before that self-titled album was released and they're not nearly as successful as Coldplay. If anything, it seems kind of the norm what they're doing. Especially with Paradise marking six weeks until MX sees release.
  9. To think it's already out there... :stunned: What are the chances of someone capturing a glimpse with a cellphone or camera?
  10. Depends on where they play. I'd splurge to see them at a general admission venue because they put on a fantastic show, regardless of recent quality. Besides, even ETIAW can be fun. But if I need to pay hundreds of dollars to get a decent seat and the DTE then all bets are off. I'm sure I've got some Michi-friends on here that'd vouch for that.
  11. Major Minus has that echo-y large sound to it, sure. That sound that they established on NB is a contributing factor in making it my all-time favorite album. :) MM isn't that bad though. For all I know, Paradise/ETIAW could be the only two fuck ups. The other material isn't THAT bad, it's just nowhere near what was established in their first four. :bomb:
  12. I'm confident in this song. I'm not quite giving up yet.
  13. OOOOOCTAGOOOOONNNNN POOOLAAAAYYYYGOOOOONNNN
  14. I still think that Bjork could better substitute for Chinese than Rihanna. Despite all my cynicism, I'm still holding on for Princess Of China.
  15. If there's any forgettable song off of Absolution, god forbid, it'd be The Small Print. Time Is Running Out is mmmmm mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm good. :dazzled:
  16. "Poppy" isn't even a bad thing, they've just taken it to new lows. The lyrics are arguably the worst part about this album.
  17. If they're playing the DTE then the chances are off. If the tickets are under $150 for the Palace of Auburn Hills then I might see them.
  18. ^That's almost as good as the guy in the jay-z thread that tried to tell us that rap isn't music.
  19. I was wondering what was wrong with the tracklisting posted. Then I realized that I actually include Fury on mine.
  20. Matthew Bellamy is a better pianist and guitarist than Chris Martin. And Mylo Xyloto is a full song? With lyrics? :(
  21. Technically it's the intro to Hurts Like Heaven. but Absolution is actually good.
  22. But they deserve insults. The best art is made under oppression.
  23. I would never see them live. They've got so many live performances broadcasted and recorded online that are free... or even their live DVDs.
  24. I don't want a sixth album. Maybe if Chris leaves the band.
