  1. One of several things.
  2. Why would anyone in the right mind purchase digital music?
  3. Million dollar question: what is wrong with this comment?
  4. :D I missed them in my town, they played Abel too. Abel is a great one. I was waiting in line to see this other concert and this asshole who wanked over the Strokes and how great Angles was going to be went on about how he didn't really like The National and how he just showed up first in line to their show that I missed to catch The Antlers. It made me enjoy The Strokes and The Antlers a little less that day. :\
  5. I admonished the Oracle without sounding like a complete ass. I asked why Chris was writing such shallow music and why the band thinks the fans can't perceive depth.
  6. They need time to make it and ship it. You can't get it to your house any sooner for $80, now can you?
  7. YWAK is one of my favorite songs by The National. Corkus, they defiled one of my favorite songs. :bigcry: Is anything sacred anymore? I wanted them to end after LP6 because I was certain that they'd release one great album now separate from EMI, but they're ruined, they're soiled minds. They enjoy making music like Paradise.
  8. They should just stop now while they're ahead. If they consider this music that they put their all into and enjoyed making, then imagine the vomit that would be LP6.
  9. Yeah, I'm not getting that deluxe bullshit.
  10. I can't expect anyone to praise it here. It's pure trifle and the melody reminds me of You Were A Kindness.
  11. I didn't even read the thread but those sentiments exactly.
  12. Stating the obvious. The whole song is like a tweet or a status update on facebook.
  13. I'm done attacking people for tonight. The word "haters" makes me giggle when it's associated with music. :D I mean fuck this, Showbiz and oatmeal pies all night long.
  14. You forgot to count the millions of other sheep and teenage girls in the world. Lol maybe the mods should ban me for being an asshole, but I think they hate the song too. :D
  15. That doesn't make the music any better or you any less mad. I promise I won't attack you any more tonight. :cheesy:
  16. Fuck it. I'm going to spoil myself with an entire box of little debbie's oatmeal cream pies to ease these pains.
  17. ^good point. Maybe Absolution to BH&R.
  18. Sure bands evolve. The way that Radiohead evolved from OK Computer to Kid A, or In Rainbows to The King Of Limbs. Arcade Fire evolved from Funeral to Neon Bible. Feist just now evolving from The Reminder to Metals. Those are examples of good evolutions. Viva La Vida (or even any album before it) to Mylo Xyloto just isn't sounding good. It's depreciation at its best. It's like Black Holes & Revelations to The Resistance.
  19. I prefer ETIAW, but it's still bad. It's frightfully shallow. I know Coldplay makes music for their fans but Chris Martin, do I look like an 8th grade teenage girl to you? I want to win that contest to ACL just to tell him that he's getting to be an even worse songwriter than Matthew Bellamy post-BH&R.
  20. but Coldplay is liek teh bestest band in teh universe and your gay i bet u listen too Justin Beaver XDDDD
  21. Where is the lyrical content? Where's the lyrical depth? It's just oooo's and hooks. I didn't expect half of the song to fit in one single tweet.
