I'm losing a substantial amount of love that I've had for this band. The Suburbs isn't that great. If they steal the Polaris this year... I don't even know. I'm just extremely bitter about not being able to see them, I guess it's a bias, but I just feel like that prize should go to Destroyer, Braids, or even have just put Stars on the shortlist. :\ I want them to move past the feeling, right now. :(

You'd be a fool to sight Coldplay as more talented than Radiohead. I like Coldplay, they're pretty good, but not on Radiohead's level.

I think I prefer Torquil's side/solo projects to Amy's. The real hook that caught me into this band was the lyrical genius, I really think Torq works well at that. Amy promised that they would play The Last Song Ever Written the next time they'd come around to Detroit, which may actually be coming up... Amy had her baby with Evan and it brought The Five Ghosts tour to a halt. They've rented out Win & Regine's old apartment to work on their next record, which they've already got a pretty nice start on already by the sound of things; Torq even just tweeted earlier that he's on his way to north hatley to write some more for it. And in addition to that, he just put out a new Memphis record last March, the debut of Dead Child Star late last year, and then a brand new DCS album he wants to put out by the end of this year. I'd imagine Amy has new solo material in the works, as well. They're busy people!
