  1. This is the story for quite a lot of things unfortunately. I think it's sensible to say congress a huge part of the problem. Congress has stopped Obama doing quite a lot of things - most namely they stopped Obama from shutting down Guantanamo Bay Prison.
  2. It worries me how so many people don't have irony detectors.
  3. I guess so, yeah. It's something you should experience. I can't stand the places though. Not for me.
  4. I was surprised at how little content from MX Coldplay are playing in their actual MX tour. I'd love to see Up With the Birds or Don't let it break your Heat.
  5. You'll be fine as long as you don't suffer from altitude discomfort - which can manifest itself in many different ways. I get horrible pain in my ears and feel awful during the descent of the aircraft (which takes about half an hour). But most people are fine. There really isn't anything to worry about - the cabin crew explain everything you need to know. Also, if you're someone who gets motion sickness in cars and rides - you probably will get it on an airplane too. If that's the case head to your chemist and get some travel sickness preventative drugs.
  6. Realise here I'm not an American and I don't have a huge knowledge of American schooling culture, but this seems counter productive to me. Having a police officer walk around a playground isn't going to stop Little Johnny from beating up Little Jimmy because Jimmy is a "faggot". It might stop him doing it in a specific moment in a specific place but his feelings and his violent behaviour will remain. Bad behaviour exists in schools as a symptom of a bad environment. Whether it be the fault of parents, a peer group or a socioeconomic group - it exists because it's a symptom of a larger problem. TL;DR You won't stop children being assholes by putting police officers around them.
  7. I'm not fluent. Fluency, for me, is the feeling of complete freedom within a language. The feeling like you can express any feeling or any emotion instantaneously and in a carefree way. The language is almost an extension of your own thoughts and there is no delay. I can't do that with English, but I can with Arabic and I can with French. So I don't call myself fluent.
  8. I support the school's decision. It's a little too strong for something like a school yearbook. She'll thank them in twenty years.
  9. I never understood fellow non-English speakers who are so touchy about the whole "I DIDN'T GO TO AN ENGLISH SPEAKING SCHOOL" thing. Yeah, we didn't go to English speaking schools - but why should this exclude us from talking like idiots? There isn't a different standard for you just because it's not your first language. English is my third language and I love it when I am corrected on things because it keeps me on my toes and it makes me learn. Simply saying "FUCK YOU I DIDN'T LEARN ENGLISH AT SCHOOL" whenever I'm corrected isn't a good practice to get into - because if I keep doing that how am I ever going to strive to be better? Destrokk the only person making you feel dumb by highlighting your mistakes is yourself. It is you who allow yourself to feel that way. If someone is acting like a dick and being ridiculously anal about your English, just laugh it off. Who cares? I think you'll find life will be a lot easier if you start thinking that way instead of the way you react now. English is a frustrating language and I'm still not fluent in it. I feel you, trust me. I just think it would be best if you stop believing you're above criticism. No one is.

  11. You put your own name on a shirt?
  12. Kiame. Hi.
  13. Let's butt out of people's personal life, eh? Just because someone is famous doesn't mean it's totally fine to gossip about something as personal as an affair.

  15. Thanks Emma :) If I had any awards to give you, I'd give you all of them. You're mine forever now. And Brent, the only reason I ever stayed in that stupid cage of yours was because I felt sorry for you. Now i've seen the light and I'm totally escaping.
  16. How dare they let a mistake like this slip. I think we can all agree no one here is going to forget this. As for me? Well I've already set my torch alight and I'll be storming the Martin residence in full swing. Chris has already kicked one lunatic off his property - he won't have such an easy time with me.
  17. Brent and Rudy, I'm the godmother. Okay? Aw thank you :D x
  18. I think the dress is really nice and I think it's fancy enough for a school function. Unless your year group is made of up idiots who think they are barbie dolls - then you should be okay. I always thought the girls who wore ball gowns to school functions looked stupid because the attire doesn't match the vibe. But still, if you're unsure, you could always go fancier without looking like an idiot. me gusta. :kiss:
  19. :lol::lol: :laugh3:
  20. Aw thanks Brent! Although I must say the image of you punching someone in the vagina is horrendous.
  21. I'm a secularist and I'm devoutly religious. Secularism is the belief that the church and state should be separate and not have anything to do with each other. The government should but out of religion and religion should but out of government. It's something I fully agree with. Being a secularist doesn't make you agnostic, atheist or a theist. It's different all together because it deals with the issue of government's role in religion.
  22. Oh yeah I bet you're good baybay. Come see me after five. Come alone and wear the dress. :kiss: :cool: :P
