Sure, he's probably better than most of the others - but I can't say his lyrics are very good. I listened to Death Cab's new album last night and immediately put on some Coldplay tracks and I really, really noticed how lacking they are sometimes. Don't get me wrong, I'm not hating here - I adore Chris Martin and I think he is a musical genius, he just doesn't write very good lyrics. Having said that, Us Against the World has beautiful lyrics - it's a gem.

There's no need to be a dick. If you want my best guess, it will leak when record stores get their copies in advance to prepare for sale and are distributed at factories, truck drivers and sales staff. That will be the first time the album won't have the encrypted security codes on them. My best guess will be between the 14th - 18th. It's too early right now. Even Viva la Vida didn't leak this early, and it didn't have security codes.

To be honest, Chris Martin isn't a brilliant lyricist. Especially when you remove his lyrics from the = music and the context of the song. You'd be better off quoting Ben Gibbard or someone. Or a real philosopher. If you want a quote for the year book I'd go with: Gravity release me and don't ever hold me down Now my feet wont touch the ground.

My mother is Japanese, and it's ridiculous prices. I was in a CD shop in Japan and I didn't want to buy anything. It was way more than double of what we pay here in France.

I just don't see how you can be that certain about it. To my knowledge most albums these days don't have the codes, because it takes a lot of money to set that up. Also, Coldplay is a huge band with a huge label behind them and someone who leaks it will know that they have a huge chance of losing their whole career over it. That surely must be a monumental deterrent. I'm not saying it 100% certainly won't leak, because people are stupid and some idiot will probably leak it and ruin his life. But I think there is a real chance it won't leak because of the codes and we may not hear it until the Japanese release. EDIT: Wait, I forgot about shops getting copies earlier than the release date to prepare for sale. It will leak before the 19th, it will leak once the album starts being distributed to shops, because those copies won't have the codes on them. So probably around the 15th is my bet.
