The back of Chris' shirt at ACL: "CAR KIDS"
No, I don't think so. In an interview from the Viva era Chris said they had written a great new song called Car Kids and it was about old people complaining about the youth. Charlie Brown isn't about that, so I am certain Car Kids is an entirely new song. Where is it? Who knows. The band has stacks of stuff written on them about Moving To Mars, and that isn't on the album - so it is possible they made their clothing with Car Kids all over it and later removed it from the album.

Mylo Xyloto: 44.09 mins long? Songs time here.
I don't think albums necessarily have to be only 40 minutes long to be well flowing and high caliber. However, the longer an album gets from 55 minutes or so, the less likely it is to be a classic.

What does it mean??
I ask him to play monopoly. He bring out Homer Simpson monopoly. I say what is this. He say I'd rather be a comma than a fullstop. I say what is this mean Chris? Why is you talk so strange? He say never mind. So we play monopoly. I beat him. He say just because im losing dont mean im lost. I say, yes it does mean you lost Chris. I beat. I am victorious. He say you just big fish in little pond. Bigger fish come along one day. I still wait for the bigger fish to come. It haunts me to this day.

The Album is 45 min Long - Says Chris on Hamish and Andy's Gap Year
Hamish and Andy are one of the most amazing journalists in the business right now. They are adored and critically acclaimed all over the world. Many celebrities love them too, Chris in particular highly enjoys their company. You're opinion is just that. You're in the minority here. No one else thinks they are cringe worthy, most of us enjoy it, so just leave it.

Coldplay , Cell Phones and Cameras
it does my head in. I was at an amazing acrobatic circus performance last year and the whole show was ruined by some stupid fucking kid and it's family video taping THE WHOLE THING on a tiny digital camera. I couldn't get into the show because everytime I looked towards the stage I would see bright screens to my left. It made me so damn angry. Why don't you just put the fucking camera down. I understand filming some things. Like the guy who filmed Up in Flames - it's a new song and he understands lots of the community want to see it. But filming a whole Coldplay set? really? Who the fuck wants to hear Yellow again shot through a tiny megapixel camera 500 metres away? Youtube is filled with the junk, why do people insist on adding to it. Tl:dr - People annoy me. Nearly every experience I have had in a crowd or audience has been ruined by someone being a dick.

Para, para, parody!!! (VIDEO IN 1ST POST! Pai's song on page 3)
Don't be a hater. What is wrong with Chris saying there is enough room for everybody? I thought Chris was very sweet and kind in his opinion of Bieber. He's better than Thom Yorke, who shits all over everyone like they are lesser human beings.

Just What Does "Mylo Xyloto" Mean?
Why are we still speculating about what it means and making up theories when Chris has already told us what it means several times. It's just gibberish. They like the way it looks. MMIX also doesn't mean anything.

A Great Cover!!!
Oh this is Boyce Avenue. Yeah the singer has a fucking amazing voice. When he belts out the "As we soar walls" line I get shivers. It's a pity he can't write his own music. Their original stuff is trash.

Coldplay Interview at Edge Rock of Fame Induction (Toronto)
I loved the part about Radiohead. Thom Yorke is such a mean son of a bitch, how can you not love the boys from Coldplay? I don't want to drag the topic off topic but Thom Yorke does make a habit of slagging off other musicians. He really is a stereotypical insecure elitist douche. That's probably what makes him one of the best musicians of all time.

Is it just me or is this entire era starting to feel...depressing?
Now that I do agree with. Watching the same setlist over and over again for the last few months has been really boring. I don't know how the boys can do that.

Devastating in its Simplicity
That's about the amount of depth your post has. You don't seem to be very intelligent.

Devastating in its Simplicity
Thank you. Some people on this forum are just full of nonsense. You don't need to defend the song. People have already made up their minds as to whether they hate MX material or not. They complain because Paradise's music is too complex. They complain because Up In Flames' is too simple. They complain because the band doesn't play indie rock music anymore. They complain because Chris doesn't write angst filled lyrics anymore. They complain because Rihanna is on the album, and despite them not even hearing the song, they hate it - because Rihanna is soooo mainstream and is therefore not worthy to be on the album. They complain because Hurts Like Heaven has distorted, auto tuned backing vocals and willingly assume that the whole song on the record is going to sound like that. They complain because Every Teardrop is a Waterfall has imagery they don't like. They love to complain. But what annoys me most of all is the fact they complain because Coldplay are following their own artistic desires. They fail to understand that all great art is left up to to the vision of the artist - not the consumer. So because they don't like the direction Coldplay are taking, they started yelling "Sellouts!" or "Corruption!" or "mainstream!". Three things they should know by now that the boys would never, ever do. They blame Chris, fame, Brian Eno, fashion and even Gwyneth. They then cite they are fans of Radiohead, as it is some elitist badge of good taste, to make sure everyone understands that they are the ones who are the judge of good music. Yes, you're completely right about Up in Flames. It's obviously about the realisation of something ending and the feeling that it brings. It's such a strong feeling it can only be explained so simply. Attempting to write complex lyrics with this theme would sound contrived. It reminds me of Fix You - another incredibly simple song from a lyrical perspective, but it's simplicity is what makes it carry such a strong message. The analogies Chris makes in the song are painfully simple - and that is what makes the song so raw. It sounds like a rough draft, it sound like someone has just scratched it out on paper in a feeling of incredible loss. It's beautiful. And I feel the same way about Up in Flames. I've given up trying to defend Coldplay's music. I honestly believe the haters aren't thinking thoroughly enough about the material. Once you make the decision to give up your free time by writing shit about someone else's music on an internet message board and desperately try to convince others to feel the same - you give up the ability to change your mind. You just get entrenched in the view you chose to hold because you like to feel like a victim or that you've been wronged.

Is Charlie Brown THE BEST Coldplay song...EVER??
Haha, they aren't the lyrics XD. It's: "Light a fire, from a smoke. Light a fire flame in my heart".

Politik with "k"?
It's a reference to the German word "Politik" which means policy. "Tell me you're own policy.." makes sense. "tell me you're own politic" doesn't. That's what I have always believed anyway.

Will Champion admits Mylo Xyloto nerves to BBC 6 Music
What really annoys me about your posts and many of the other MX-moaners is the arrogance behind it. You type your posts as if it's absolute gospel and anyone who thinks otherwise is either a fan girl or wrong. To most people, MX won't be the weakest album so far. I am 100% sure of that. Wait a year or so, and make a poll in the forum asking people to vote for their least favourite album. It will be X&Y or Parachutes. MX has some of the most exciting material in it for so many of us. Hurts Like Heaven is one of the most guitar ambitious things they have ever done. It completely blows away every other song they have record in terms of punch and guitars. It sounds like a roller coaster. Charlie Brown is a masterpiece. It's sheer proof that Coldplay are very, very clever people who know exactly how to write a song that stuns a crowd. The riff is amazing, the lyrics are very strong - although they aren't about Chris' angst so lots of you haters don't like the - and the whole thing is delightful. Once again, I can't think of any other song that has this amount of instant appeal. Paradise whilst, in my opinion, hasn't got great lyrics is perhaps the most musically complex and ambitious thing they've ever done. Ever. Every Teardrop is a Waterfall is my favourite song. Period. Us Aganist the World has some of the strongest and most vivid lyrics Chris has ever done. It's beautiful. It's arranged so simply and is so powerful. Major Minus has loads and loads of punch and grunge. Jonny's solo is one of his strongest ever. That's what I think. And there will literally be millions other who agree. You are in the minority here - don't think for a moment you aren't. Sure you may find a few who agree on this forum, but in terms of the music listening populous and fans you're vastly, vastly outnumbered. And I'm not appealing to popularity here. There are plenty of things that are popular that aren't very good. I'm just saying you need to calm down and realise that you're opinion isn't the truth. If you don't like MX, that's fine. You can think whatever you think of it - but just know most of us absolutely adore the new material. I personally believe it is their strongest yet. So do most of us.

Interview with Chris for RS magazine on working with Eno and Rihanna
This is proof that no matter what you say when you are famous, there will always be a few idiots who find something to moan and complain about. He barely said anything controversial, and he seemed incredibly relaxed and honest. This gets translated as "HE KNOWS MYLO XYLOTO IS GUNNA SUCK!" or "PARACHUTES WAS BETTA" or "BRIAN ENO IS THE BOSS". Jesus christ. Some of you really do need to find hobbies.
