  1. If they did another Parachutes, my life would be complete.
  2. Third picture right by Jonny's wrist it says "today together well" or something like that.
  3. Charlie Brown Princess of China Hurts Like Heaven Car Kids Major Minus Up In Flames Maybe E.T.I.A.W. But... Us Against The World is kind of hard. I don't think it fits the sound of any of the other new songs played. Lyrically it fits the rebellion theme, but otherwise I just can't see it.
  4. Awesome post!!! (But #42 hardly ever says anything significant about the album anymore)
  5. Chris said June 29th that "In six weeks time" he's going to reveal some big news. That's VERY, VERY close to right now!!!
  6. They're release one in mid to late september. That's my guess!! :P
  7. One of Coldplay's rules is to keep an album at 9 tracks (42 minutes). [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=fCxtKchq12Q]‪Chris Martin on CBS‬‏ - YouTube[/ame]
  8. Lol I think it's okay to say there will effects... but I don't think there will be a significant amount. I'm at the personal belief that Hurts Like Heaven WILL be one of those songs. We'll have to wait though :\ . As far as we know everything we say is our own speculation, so there's no proof either way.
  9. Dude, just because there were effects on Major Minus doesn't necessarily mean there will effects on the rest of the songs. ETIAW and Moving To Mars didn't have any vocal effects that I can think of. Sure there will probably be effects, but it's seriously justifiable to dislike the Major Minus effects and hope the rest of the songs aren't as over-produced.
  10. Whether or not the songs we've already heard are put on the album, I guarantee the rest will surface in some form or another via single B-Sides or future EP tracks. Coldplay hasn't disappointed their fans yet (except for maybe the exception of ETIAW), and I don't think they will now. If Hurts Like Heaven, Charlie Brown, Us Against The World and Princess of China are so amazing, then just wait to hear the rest of the sixteen possible tracks. I think this album is extremely fun to think about. The first three albums were referred to as 'The Trilogy'. I wonder how much they're going to evolve with this one. Viva was already a huge step, what will this one be like?
  11. THAT IS AWESOME!!!
  12. I LOVE Spies!! Spies, Amsterdam, The Goldrush, 42, and See You Soon.
  13. Is there any way we could get a video of that Splendour performance?
  14. This is the song I'm most excited to hear!!!!!
  15. I think Hurts Like Heaven will be. I'm positive Charlie Brown is going to be their biggest single, and I think they already know that. Crowds and fans alike have praised it all over. I don't think they're going to release their best song first. It's not practical business-wise. You release a good single to get everyone's attention, then release your best single to blow their minds. It's probably the way they'll go. Charlie Brown is their best song, but Hurts Like Heaven is the Violet Hill or the In My Place of the LP5 era. Just my guess.
  16. You know what'd be awesome? If they improved Major Minus to make the chorus more epic than it is on the last studio version, and maybe improve Chris's vocals... If ETIAW is on the album, I will bust a nut. I'm done with that nonsense.
  17. Not really a good cover... BUT I LOVE HOW THE CROWD IS SINGING!!!!!!
  18. When you realize in your Itunes playlists that all of your top 25 most played tracks are Coldplay songs... all played over 140 times each... And when you designate certain times of the day with a Coldplay song. Or when you check the Coldplay website for news 4 times a day, get a username at a Coldplay forums and watch live videos before you go to bed. I'M OBSESSED!!! :D :D :D :D
  19. All of Hurts Like Heaven is a lyrical orgasm!!! Written in a marker on a factory sign, I struggle with the feeling that my life isn't mine! So cold, so cold. So Cold, so cold! ...On a concrete canvas and a glow in the dark, concrete canvas I will make you a mark Armed with a spray can soul I'll be armed with a spray can soul! youuuu!!!!!! Ooooooo!!!
  20. And FYI, Eno was never as involved with Joshua or Achtung as he was with Viva or IS with this album. The only U2 album that Eno was truly huge on was definitely The Unforgettable Fire. U2 has always been able to create a very good tune, and Eno was always there to create a cohesive structure to their material. THAT'S what a producer is for.
  21. Brian Eno also said that this particular album with this particular band was the most he's ever been involved with... I don't know where the article is, but it talks alot about him separating the band members, leaving out the singer for a while and then bringing them all together again. On the previous Coldplay albums, they would play the songs in a recording studio or church together and use those takes for the final edits (after overlaying effects), but now it seems as if they're just recording their instruments individually, which may make the album sound a bit over-produced. This is also the longest gap in between albums Coldplay has had. My guess is that they had a particularly hard time deciding on the overall theme since it kept on evolving so much. When that happens, they get self-conscious and it prolongs everything even more. They take it into the studio to improve whatever it is they recorded, and then sometimes they tweak it so much that it sounds nothing like it would ever sound like Live. Coldplay is a great band, but putting the power into the producer's hands is ultimately a band's downfall. Coldplay does great alone. I was fine with having Eno as an accessory, but not as practically a full-fledged band-member. I hardly think this album will be a failure, but I'm going to be the negative nancy and try to lower everyone's expectations just in case it's not as amazing as we all speculate it will be.
