  1. I'm sick as a dog, which means I'll probably be wide awake at 3a.
  2. Just got a 3rd ticket for my best friend. She's really a Country Music fan, but she'll tag along with me and my son b/c I'm too excited about the Coldplay Live 2012.
  3. Your kid's friend says you're the coolest mom in the world b/c you can't stop talking about coldplay.
  4. 1 of this days I'll catch up with Southpark. Everyone I love says it's a brilliant program, I just can't get past the obscenities. There's just too much of it for these somewhat virgin ears.
  5. Politik. I'm dreaming of Coldplay performing it at Obama inauguration.
  6. Got 2 tickets for myself and my 17 yr old son for $25. I've never been in a Studio Movie Grill before. It seems like a eatery with a big screen. Anything for Coldplay though.
  7. I don't know if you watch The Good Wife. Nathan Lane's character said in 1 episode, you know the wondrous thing about numbers? You can't hide. It was really fun watching Carl Rove arguing with the Fox News desk calling Ohio for Obama. Rachel Maddow showed a very funny clip at the start on tonight's show. I really hope it gets posted on youtube b/c it's simply hilarious.:laugh3:
  8. You better check Nate Cohn as well. Numbers analysis has never sounded so cute.:)
  9. This is just hilarious  [ame=http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EDxOSjgl5Z4]Chris Rock - Message for White Voters - YouTube[/ame]
  10. Oh how I love my 2 geeky nates. Republicans waged war with 2 geeky young guys just interpreting numbers. The revenge of the nerds is so sweet
  11. No time to look back! Hillary 2016:)
  12. Romney lost his home state of Michigan, his adoptive state of Massachusetts where he was a 1 term governor, the state of New Hampshire where he now resides, and the home state of his vice president choice Wisconsin. Al Gore would have won the presidency with a win in his home state of Tennessee. The moral of the story is that if your own people reject you, you're in a lot of trouble.
  13. I was filled with happiness when I realized that Chris and I are elated about the US presidential election outcome.
  14. Don't even get me started. I'm just glad I'm not the only weirdo. I drive to the supermarket and sit in the parking lot until the song is over so I don't miss the ending.
  15. Also, Republicans' efforts to suppress votes instead of being inclusive and finding the way to appeal to minorities is such a turn off. I was proud to see people spending hours in lines to exercise their right to vote. This shouldn't happen in America of all places. Voting should be made easy for every citizen.
  16. And yeah for Elizabeth Warren. I can't believe that Scott Brown's big issue was that his opponent looked white while claiming native American ancestry. Really? He can blame all those Republicans who obstructed Ms. Warren's nomination as head of the consumer agency.
  17. I happened to live in Massachusetts when Mitt Romney was running for senate against Ted Kennedy. As far as social issues, this was a brand new Mitt making a complete 180 degree turn. It would have been very cynical for America to reward such behavior. Even in this election alone, he spoke out of both sides of his mouth. I know candidates usually run close to their base during primaries and move to the middle during general elections but not to this extent. You have to show some spine. Say what you will about Dubya, but he showed some character. Romney wanted to win at all cost. I'm so glad America saw through it.
  18. I've enjoyed watching Fox News all night. You could just tell that they knew at 8pm EST that Romney was done. Bill O'Reilly refused to stay on the air, he was so disappointed and deflated by the exit polls results. Obama either winning Ohio or Florida is the nail in the coffin. Romney needed both and then some to win.
  19. Wooohoooo! Obama is re-elected. My 2 geeks Nates were right.
  20. Nate the fabulous geek has given his last predictions based on the maths and probabilities. http://fivethirtyeight.blogs.nytimes.com/2012/11/06/nov-5-late-poll-gains-for-obama-leave-romney-with-longer-odds/?utm_source=twitterfeed&utm_medium=twitter
  21. What a story, Zoe! Good on you for sharing it.
  22. I don't blame him for forgetting Apple's name, but to then go on and on making a joke of it? This is a child after all. I really can't see either Chris or Gwyneth behave in this way about somebody else's child but maybe I'm old school. I never cared for Robbie Williams, and now I never will.
  23. You've got a PM, Lili.:)
  24. We don't know the whole story quite yet. I know 4 very valuable lives were lost during the Benghazi attack, but you can measure it against very many foreign policy successes like the killing of Bin Ladin and many Al Qaeda elements. I'm at peace with Obama as president knowing that America isn't going to start another war somewhere. I respect his very brave approach with Israel. The Israeli prime minister shouldn't be dictating the American foreign policy in the middle east. I can go on and on.
