True. A lot of indie albums in the last few years have had tracks about 1.5 minutes long scattered throughout the tracklist. I guess one reason is that it gives a longer-looking tracklisting without boosting the runtime by too much. Very experimental if it's true!
  2. To me, this song sounds like someone fed The Perisher's 'Trouble Sleeping' through a Coldplaying machine. In a good way, that is.
  3. I agree with this statement. Not sure, but it could be another organisation in the world of Mylo Xyloto. I'd say it's pretty much given that that's the main character's name now, and Car Kids are the good guys and Major Minus is the bad guy/s. IX, or 9, or whatever, could either be something meaningful within the song or another name in the whole 'concept album' thread of things.
  4. I think either AHT or DLIBYH will be quite weird-sounding, lots of synthy blips and stuff. Sortof like Diplomat's Son by Vampire Weekend. If DLIBYH is really loud and climatic and guitar-y, then I think AHT will definitely be a sortof ballad but with a higher tempo.
  5. My parents saw this on facebook before I did! I want to hear Up With The Birds now, Coldplay's album-closers have always been EPIC.
  6. UNLESS they named the little intro track after the album name, rather than the other way around. Peter Bjorn And John did the same with Writer's Block, and don't forget Parachutes even if that isn't really an intro track. I could see it feasibly being just that.
  7. EPIC. I really want to hear Up In Flames... sounds very intriguing. But really one of things I'm really interested to know is what song the album ends on. ETIAW is the favourite for that spot, but methinks MX could fade easily into the intro as well as Hurts Like Heaven does. I wonder how the 'story' will turn out...
  8. I reckon that if PoC is on the album, DLIBYH or Up In Flames will follow it. Especially if DLIBYH really does mean Don't Let It Break Your Heart. I think we've heard less a rounded group of the songs so far than we think...
  9. OUTRO! And you know what else? That piano outro IS that new intro for Life Is For Living they've been doing live. Intro to a hidden track, or gapless into the next song? Or just a little outro like Cemeteries Of London? It's definitely the same. And I saw a post on here somewhere where they were saying that piano outro was just part of LIFL, not the outro to Charlie Brown...!!
  10. The names... I agree with this, but to elaborate: I think that Mylo Xyloto is the main character in the story, Major Minus is the antagonist/government group, and the Car Kids are the revolutionaries, mentioned in Charlie Brown. It would make sense because the new era costumes have the 'CK' logo, and Major Minus has its own logo too so they are probably both big groups in the album's 'story'. Also, Chris mentioned once that Viva-Mylo Xyloto-LP6 was to be a sort of loos trilogy like the first three albums were their own cycle, hence the similar themed artwork. And the theme of revolution would be carried over from Viva too.
