I can't beleive it, Princess of China Flops in the US
I really want HLH to be a single, the video would be incredible... but that 40-second intro (how would they do a radio edit?!) makes me think that that ain't happening.

Sex and Violence/Car Kids
Going back to the first few comments on this thread now... 'What's next? UFO?' :O :L

ColdplayFilm - MX Live DVD
Huh... only one song from X&Y on their current setlist. Only just noticed...

Coldplay Record Store Day Vinyl: Up With The Birds/U.F.O.
So what's up with the 'live' thing? True or false? What's up with that? :P

The era of the B-Side
I just hate the way record companies complain about falling single sales when the nearest music/video shop (HMV) where I live is 20 miles away- and they don't even stock singles! >:( But I love both B-Sides and EPs too. Coldplay's B-Sides are ALWAYS awesome- The Goldrush, I Ran Away, For You, A Spell A Rebel Yell, Crest Of Waves, One I Love... etc. :)

Complete transformation of my feelings toward Paradise
I agree, it's a very, very well put together song. I think if it had been on a different album, and had not been marketed as having 'hip-hop influences', it'd have been much more liked by fans initially.

Why does everyone hate 'The Hardest Part'?
I think X&Y is closer in style to Viva La Vida than people think, honestly. Especially the handwritten lyrics backgrounds from the Twisted Logic tour...

The Most Radiohead-influenced song from MX?
Tobias Froberg sounds like Thom Yorke, especially on 'Turn Heads'.
-
Performance by the BBC Philharmonic Orchestra
Wow! If only we had the Paradise vocals and a better quality stream, somebody could stitch the two together!

Charlie Brown New Single - Third single
I imagine the 'intro' track is some PR person giving the whole spiel on Coldplay's progress and explaining Mylo Xyloto and Charlie Brown. So radio persons have something to work with. :L Like anybody's NOT at least heard live recordings of it...

Coldplay nominated for 3 Grammy Awards // Paradise to feature on 2012 Grammy Nominees Album (pg.5)
I think Chris was alright given that they had to cancel the Australian shows, what with his illness. Nice of him to go on anyway and do it, to be honest, he could've cancelled.

Princess of China: Worst Coldplay song ever?
Actually, I don't think so. Sure, Rihanna coming in is a bit jarring but I think their voices go together well. I have found that a lot of the songs on Mylo Xyloto need to be listened to through good earphones to be fully appreciated, unfortunately not an option for everybody. I'm lucky to have good in-ear headphones so I can. The production, for a start, sounds 10x better through headphones- on all the songs, HLH, DLIBYH, POC... and Princess Of China especially, I think, sounds terrible through speakers or computer speakers, but really bombastic and complex through earphones. Try it.

CHARLIE BROWN MUSIC VIDEO! (both studio and live videos in first post)
Personally, I like it. And the holding-red-flares-while-in-or-on-a-car thing is old now, Rihanna didn't pioneer it. The earliest example I can think of is the 2009 video for Peter Bjorn And John's 'It Don't Move Me'. The people in that video set fire to a giant cuddly rabbit toy with the red flares afterwards, too. :L

Charlie Brown Music Videos (Live & Studio - both videos in first post)
I thought the video was epic, more in depth with the 'story' in the album, the dark, urban environment... and the CAR, with the youths dancing and everything. As in CAR K.........

How has Paradise done so well?
Most people other than Coldplay fans have only heard Paradise and Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall from MX. If/When they hear Charlie Brown, Hurts Like Heaven, UATW, even POC, they'll probably prefer those more.

LOVERS IN JAPAN/VLV TACK PIANO
The Speed Of Sound bit sounds so close to the studio version! :O
-
MX/ Hurts Like Heaven piano cover
Seriously, the verse riff from HLH reminds me of the second half of 42. And the second, crunchier guitar solo reminds me of 42 as well. :L

Hurts Like Heaven possibility
The question should really be WILL Hurts Like Heaven be a single? I definitely think it should, but when Glass Of Water didn't, etc., you know, it may not be. Especially with the intro, hard to make a radio edit of it. :P Also, DLIBYH has pop elements, but I doubt it as a single. Apart from the slightly experimental style, it would again be too hard to make an edit of. That outro, and AHT at the start... :P again.

Sound at end of song
I'm pretty sure it's 'Moving To Mars', but put through so many filters and effects etc. that even the constenants sound different.
-
First Coldplay Song You Ever Heard?
Clocks, but I didn't know it at the time.
-
Rank the album Opener!
1. MX / Hurts Like Heaven (but only through headphones, so you can pick up every nuance) 2. Politik (IMO the definitive Coldplay song, maybe not their absolute best but most in their style) 3. LIT i 4. Don't Panic 5. Square One

Charlie Brown Music Videos (Live & Studio - both videos in first post)
Why do any of us think it's coming on the 10th, the 12th, or even in January? The record company will probably release the video and then the actual single two months later again like ETIAW. Companies have been messing around with all kinds of stupid release plans recently, look what happened to Natalie Imbruglia's singles. :/
