  1. As far as we can say the Starbucks one seems pretty official. I personally reckon that IS the real one.
  2. Youtube videos from the presentation at Comic-Con in America, yesterday. You can find the videos on earlier pages in the thread! Lots of lovely artwork shown! :D
  3. Basically, Hurts Like Heaven music video as a prelude to the comic story. Possibly August the 6th but we don't know for sure yet. Animated by people who worked on the videos for the band 'Gorillaz'. :D which is a good thing
  4. Glad to see they've gone for a traditional animation style look for the music video, I was worried it was going to be full CGI... and the comic looks AWESOME!!!! I was worried, but now I'm not. Moebius, 1984 and Brazil with aliens? BRING IT ON.
  5. "Top Secret MX x" From Paris's blog: http://paris1974.tumblr.com/ He's posted a few interesting pictures recently...
  6. THIS. -See You Soon -Careful Where You Stand -No More Keeping My Feet On The Ground -One I Love -Crest Of Waves -Animals -I Ran Away -Things I Don't Understand -The World Turned Upside Down -Gravity -Pour Me -A Spell A Rebel Yell -The Goldrush -MOVING. TO. MARS. :shocked2:
  7. "I heard it on a TV show" is a lyric from Moving To Mars...
  8. Well, this is certainly going to be interesting, if nothing else! :L
  9. Hmmmm... my initial position still stands. This could be really awesome or simply painful. :/
  10. So it's confirmed, from listening to this version... Chris DOES whisper the album title just before the main song starts...
  11. Erm... seems legit. This sounds like what HLH could've sounded like had it not been the album opener, e.g. like the long CB intro.
  12. I imagine the 'space' theme carries through on a lot of the songs that were scrapped in the late stages of the album, when they were sequencing it, to avoid making it seem too 'cluttered'.
  13. This could either be epicly good, or immeasurably bad. :P :L guess we'll just have to see...
  14. 4th June at the Emirates, Chris did a whole speech early on :L Nah, I prefer it with short gaps between songs... keeps the energy flowing!
  15. 1. Mylo Xyloto **** 2. Hurts Like Heaven ***** 3. Paradise **** 4. Charlie Brown ***** 5. Us Against The World **** 6. M.M.I.X. *** 7. Every Teardrop Is A Waterfall **** 8. Major Minus **** 9. U.F.O. **** 10. Princess Of China *** 11. Up In Flames *** 12. A Hopeful Transmission **** 13. Don't Let It Break Your Heart **** 14. Up With The Birds ***** Average: ****
  16. There's the acoustic version of POC, though I know that probably comes under 'remixes'. Something tells me that that track is superior to any remix we've heard so far, though...
  17. First live Coldplay show and damn it was fantastic! Us Against The World with Will singing the end was really nice, as was Simon Pegg's bit, which filled up the band's walk back to the main stage. The highlight for me, weirdly, was In My Place. I like the song but I was expecting Charlie Brown or something to be my favourite song live. In My Place did it for me though ;) especially with the confetti during the chorus, got some great pics. :D
  18. Some people are complaining about a lack of story... but isn't the video meant to be like a fake trailer for an imaginary film, like the trailers in Grindhouse? :L Probably won't change people's opinion, but I think part of the idea is that it's less of a story and more a series of random shots representing a wider, untold story. Sorta like the visuals in Plastic Beach by Gorillaz. Sky-pirates, giant plastic island, masked demon thing, etc. and no story. It's part of the wacky, colourful aspect of the era. How effective that is is another matter, but I don't think they were aiming for a cohesive story like they were in, for example, Strawberry Swing...
  19. pretty damn neat
  20. Reminds me of 'The Drowners' by Suede. :L Very unusual for Coldplay, but I like it. Never heard any fuss then like there is over PoC or Paradise now. ;)
  21. Reminds me of Kill Bill Vol. 1...
  22. BETTER THAN THE ORIGINAL. THIS SHOULD HAVE COME AFTER UFO. :O And then Up In Flames. It would've been, like, the quiet before the storming of DLIBYH! :L
  23. Grrr... this is the same as Muse did with The Resistance's singles, and Gorillaz with Plastic Beach's singles. And Coldplay's B-sides have always been my favourites out of any bands! Especially the Rush Of Blood / X&Y era singles, been collecting them for 2 years just because of the b-sides. :P I wish bands would stick to releasing remixes in remix albums and special editions etc. Singles are for new material!
  24. Awesome news. Seems at least 1/4 of the band has plans for the future... :L
