  1. The Hobbit: Desolation of Smaug - 7.5/10 Like most people I found the love side-story to be completely pointless and contrived, I wish they'd learned to steer clear of romance after the terribly boring Aragorn/Arwen scenes in LOTR. Apart from that, I really liked it. The scenes with Smaug were pretty damn awesome and I thought the reveal of the Necromancer was amazing. I can see where Greg's coming from, but I never really thought of The Hobbit as a children's book so that issue doesn't really bother me. As for the lack of character development, I agree that they could have done better.
  2. LP6

  6. This has been the first year I've actually made an effort to listen to new music, but I still don't seem to have listened to as many albums as some of you! :laugh3: I'm trying to listen to a few more albums before the end of the year so I'll hopefully be adding to this list. 7. I saw it the other night and it was great! I might be mistaken but I think it stayed a bit closer to the book than the first one did (although it did still miss out a few little bits). I also thought the other tributes were well cast. Can't wait for Mockingjay! Also, the instrumental bit of Atlas fitted quite well with the film I thought.
  8. So jealous, I've always wanted to see them
  9. Well that was awesome.
  10. I don't think I've tested my speed since moving... Not bad!
  11. Arcane Roots were absolutely amazing last night :awesome: And I'm seeing them tomorrow in the legendary King Tuts Wah Wah Hut too
  12. Going to see The Day of the Doctor in the cinema tonight :D

  14. I thought it sounded a little bit Coldplay-ish when I heard it but it's only a slight resemblance.
  15. Well, seeing as you asked nicely, here I am after waiting out in the cold for hours to meet my favourite band :awesome: Urggh, red eye in the second one though.
  16. June 2011. Same question.
  17. Greg, is there room in your sig for all the awards you're gonna win? :P

How many people would have said the same thing about Warning Sign before 2012? ;)

I think they could get away with replacing The Scientist with another piano ballad like Amsterdam, ENL or DAAHF. Or maybe a new song, like how they replaced Politik with DLIBYH on the stadium tour.
  21. LP6

Even if they have come up with a theme/style for LP6 I doubt they'd reveal it this soon. I think they'll wear generic outfits at U1R, not related to MX or LP6. Hopefully the setlist will also be a bit different, seeing as it's a special one-off show :wideeyed:
  22. Jacob's Cream Crackers. Not even with cheese or anything, just the crackers on their own :wideeyed:
  23. Yeah, animals seem to be a common theme in a lot of my dreams. It's quite cool sometimes. I haven't either actually. University has changed me :(
  24. How to Train Your Dragon 8/10
  25. Last night I dreamed that I was trapped in a wooden shed where a dog licked me all over and a hornet stung me on the finger. Then I was in my old house sheltering from a tornado and my door wouldn't close so I had to hold it shut while trying to stop my cat from going outside. I haven't had any lucid dreams in a while :(
