  1. Easy! You can watch Coldplay concerts , especially festivals, on TV. Also there's "Television selling plastic figurines of leaders..." from Glass of Water Tortoise
  2. I need to see this :awesome:
  3. I finally decided it was safe to venture back in here :laugh3: I'll give you all 3 guesses as to what Chris is looking at...
  4. Lets hope so! And Glass of Water too! :fingersx:
  5. How dare they tease us by soundchecking Glass of freaking Water and not playing it?
  6. Maybe. I just thought it was too similar to the Postcards From Far Away situation to be a coincidence :P
  7. OK guys, this is a crazy and unlikely theory, but hear me out: You all remember the story of Postcards From Far Away, correct? On the Viva tour, The Hardest Part was surprisingly brought back after the band had not played it in years and in fact Chris had said he didn't like playing the song. It was brought back as a sparkly new piano version, and played on the B-Stage after two sort of electronic sounding songs (GPASUYF/Talk remix). The song featured a fancy new piano outro which everyone liked and allowed the other band members time to get ready for the next song (Viva La Vida). Exhibit A: A couple of months later, the Prospekt's March EP was released and the fancy piano piece was on it, now titled 'Postcards From Far Away'. Everyone with me so far? Good, now here's the interesting part: Three years later, on the MX tour, Warning Sign is surprisingly brought back after the band had not played it in years and Chris had said he didn't like playing it. It comes back as a sparkly new piano version, on the B-Stage, after two sort of electronic sounding songs (Princess of China/Up in Flames). It features a fancy new piano outro which (I assume) everybody likes and allows the other band members to get ready for the next song (DLIBYH). Exhibit B: See where I'm going with this? Anyway, I'm probably crazy but I really can't help but notice similarities between the two situations, and the conspiracy theorist in me just wants to tell the people all about it! Please discuss!
  8. ^That's really close to my birthday so I thought about trying to get tickets for it... that is until I saw who the other artists were
  9. I love that song! Apparently its lyrics were found in the MX pop-up edition somewhere so it seems it was considered for MX at one point. This gives me hope that there's still a chance we'll hear it finished one day! (But without the swearing I expect :P)

  11. Well, Live 2003 had a B-Side (One I Love), an old EP track (See You Soon) and a new song (Moses) so I would hope we get at least one of each of those on a new live DVD. Maybe Moving to Mars, a song from Prospekt's March and a new song?
  12. I really like any seamless transition from a song into In My Place. No matter what song it is it always just sounds so awesome. My favourites would have to be Swallowed In The Sea/In My Place from the Twisted Logic Tour and Yellow/In My Place from the festivals last year :)
  13. Awwww, good to see Will getting a bit of recognition from a casual fan :)
  14. I just listened to the whole of Origin of Symmetry in reverse! I mean, from finish to start with all the songs backwards, because I was bored. Can I just say that the Citizen Erased riff backwards is one of the most epic things I have ever heard! :stunned:
  15. Do let us know if they soundcheck anything unusual :wacky: By yours truly  It's a useful tool, as long as people use it correctly. However, a lot of less well-known artists' statistics get pretty messed up because people neglect to keep things consistent such as capitalisation in song names etc... Basically it's an OCD nightmare
  16. :stunned: That song looks and sounds so amazing live! Bringing it back is one of the best decisions they have made so far this tour. Now we just need to hear 42 and DAAHF again... :laugh3:
  17. LP6

I'd say Viva was The Unforgettable Fire, Joshua Tree and the studio parts of Rattle and Hum all rolled into one. I mean these are the albums where Brian Eno's influence can be most clearly heard, and it's the same for Viva. I agree that MX is their equivalent of Achtung Baby, which leads me to believe that maybe they'll release a sort of 'extra' MX-era album or EP a-la Zooropa :wink3: Then LP6 would be like ATYCLB. A sort of return to the pre-MX style but with new elements as well. Which means we would get Coldplay's equivalent of Beautiful Day :awesome:
  18. Can someone fill me in on this 4/20 business? Is it a Canadian thing?
  19. Might have to go where they don't know my name Float all over the world just to see her again And I won't show or feel any pain Even though all my armour might rust in the rain A simple plot, but I know one day Good things are coming our way...
  20. 5D Movie?! :o I didn't think there was such a thing!
  21. She said 'The Message' so maybe she's confused with another song
  22. I love the HISHE series! Especially the Lord of the Rings one :laugh3:
  23. Not anymore  Oh, and Sparks on the C-Stage before UATW would be great.
