Basically compression makes low volumes louder and loud volumes quieter, so everything it well balanced, but it gets very complicated. I'm going to bed now, night all!

I'm a music nerd :P I've been learning about high end compression and bass modulation this week.

Plus it's really useful as most watches, timetables & clocks use it. Everything I have is set to 24hr, it's like my default. I don't think I could cope with 12hr time.
