Well if you're going with the theme of WWII and gestapo, then it could refer to the fact that when jewish families hid with non-jewish families from the gestapo, they often hid in attics and cupboards and other such places, so it could express the terror of the enemy knowing their presence and hearing the gestapo approaching

Viva La Vida for sure. It has this all-encompassing atmosphere that's so full of colour, but manages to remain somehow very organic. Every song is like a painting, creating a picture in your head; Cemeteries of London takes you to a dark and foggy evening, where anything could be creeping in the shadows, while Strawberry Swing invokes images of sitting in lush, green grass staring at a clear sky. While every song is so unique, it still manages to be very cohesive. It's lamenting and joyful at the same time, and it will always remain my favorite Coldplay album

When you have dreams about the band members that are totally inappropriate considering the age difference :shame:

^ I disagree with you, Chris has been asked about a solo career in interviews, and every time it's a definitive "no" to the idea of ever doing a solo career. And really, I think the band are all happier than they ever were; if there was ever a time when they would break up, it would have been after they released X&Y. They've mentioned before that they weren't very happy with the album and they had difficult times; on the flip side, NOW they seem very content and confident with the music they're producing onstage, and in interviews they seem very happy with themselves right now. Of course anything is possible, I'm just saying a break-up or Chris leaving is very unlikely

The situation with the video reminds me of schroedinger's cat; until we SEE the video, it could be an eyegasm, or a complete and utter abomination (such as the cat in the box could be dead or alive). I'm gonna just assume it's both at the same time :P Either way, it'll be interesting

For sure they could have (and should have, IMO) played CB, but the fact is they won't play songs that are neccesarily the best, just ones that people recognise. I've tried my best to accept this to lessen the diappointment when they play the same songs :P But oh well, maybe once they release CB as a single it will get more promotion? Also, who cares if your friend doesn't like Coldplay? everybody has their opinion, and there's not much you can do about it. As long as you like Coldplay, that's all that matters
