I completely agree! It bugs me that some people have completely turned their backs on the band because the new style is too "poppy". What does it matter if the music is more pop? There's no such thing as a bad genre, you can have bad rock and bad metal music as much as you can have bad pop. Compared to what's REALLY popular today, MX is auditory gold. Oh well, the world would be boring if everyone's opinions were the same, I guess :P

Live version wins by a landslide for me. There are so many things they could have done to the studio version to make it better :shame:

I actually expected something like this to happen in the video while I was first watching it. The whole time I was thinking "ok, he stole a car, we got a chase coming up, right?" or "Teenagers partying to loud music in a warehouse, wouldn't that usually attract attention?" The whole thing would have been better for me if there was some sort of climax in the story, maybe showing us a glimpse of this opressive society that made these kids rebel in the first place?

Not my favorite, but I'm not totally repulsed by it. I agree the first kiss was cute, but after awhile it was a bit much. The shots of the boys playing in the middle of the glow-in-the-dark crowd were cool though, so I basically sat there thinking "don't care, don't care, don't care...OOH Jonny's guitar is glowing! :awesome:" I MUCH prefer the live video, and it seems fitting that the song is AWESOME live, while mediocre in the studio version, and the live video is AWESOME, while the official video is mediocre, too.

I chose U.F.O because it just took me completely by surprise. I listened to it in the context of the album, and at first I thought "meh". But I listened to it again on its own and it snuck up on me with how lovely and pensive it is. I love the lyrics, and the combination of strings and guitar is gorgeous. Sure, in the context of the album it's kinda out of place, and maybe dull in comparison to the other songs, but by itself it's a wonderful little song. Also the little sound at the end is cool :awesome:

Since when has really good music ever been popular on radio? If radio was about what music was best, and not what appeals to the greatest amount of people, the airwaves would NOT be dominated by "artists" such as Pitbull, Katy Perry, and (shudder) Justin Beiber

I think a lot of people here are wondering the exact same things as you, I know I am :confused: There has been no concrete announcement from the official site about which single is coming first, or when, so nobody knows

It's entirely possible for him to have a problem, who knows? I just don't think sleeping pills are the inspiration for MX :thinking:
