Why does the journalist act like people dislike having the bands come on again? :thinking: If they read any more than the 3 posts mentioned, they would realise people are overjoyed to have their band start flashing again, it reminds them of the awesome time they had at the concert. Some people even found a way to turn the band on manually, hardly behaviour of miffed fans

You know you and your friends are addicted to Coldplay when one of them frantically texts you in the middle of class to tell you that her supply teacher looks just like Will, and you text back with the same amount of fangirlish glee demanding pictures

That's cool and all, but I still have no respect for her...I saw her performance on SNL from may 5th, and yeah, I expected guys in the audience to start running up and giving her money

That's a very good point, except in Plastic Beach, everything came together so you eventually did hear that story- the music videos and various short videos the band released all contributed towards creating the story and world of the album. It was much more complex. So if you watch the Stylo video, for instance, with no context or prior knowledge of Plastic Beach, of course it makes no sense. Watch it with context, and you can follow easily. Also, even without context, there is still a story in the video- you can at least tell that there is a conflict between Bruce willis and the band members. There is none of that here, just shots of Rihanna and Chris, nothing else adds to it.

ok good things: Some awesome shots of Chris and cool scenery the song is much better when put to some imagery, it distracts from the fact that the lyrics suck bad things: complete lack of plot. It could have been much much better if it had a cool story line. That's why Paradise and Strawberry swing worked so well- they had awesome imagery coupled with a good story. This video has cool shots, but they're so static- it's like the difference between seeing a beautiful animal (like say a snow leopard) stuffed and seeing it alive and moving. Without a good story, the video is nice to look at, but it doesn't do much else All in all, it was alright (I think we can all agree it could've been much worse) but it's nothing special. A solid 5 for me

ok at 0:57 she mimicked chris's spinny move that he seems so fond of lately, and at the end, way to blatantly imitate an actual coldplay concert...at least the confetti wasn't shaped like butterflies. Decent cover, but I agree with coeurli, nowhere near enough energy and didn't try to use the awesome riff to generate some good audience vibes at all (which is what the song does best)

That's why I said 'it's possible'. The problem is with a lot of these online articles declaring things that celebrities supposedly said, they offer little to no proof of what they are trying to say. As fakfak has said, it's probably a case of he has got it to some degree, but it might not be as bad as they say. Articles like this almost always exaggerate their headlines to get readers, so I've just become very skeptical of them :P

It could possibly be true, but I'm skeptical of it due to the media's knack for blowing things Chris says out of proportion :thinking:

When hearing Coldplay on the radio in the morning is enough to really raise your spirits :awesome: , even if it is just Viva La Vida

I agree Chris' singing isn't the best, but if they make this song a regular on the tour, he'll probably get better at it. Watching this has got me so so so SO psyched for the show in July! :awesome: I can't wait to be there so I can hear Jonny better :D Even on a video the song sounded super epic!
