i like this dj. he sounds like a straight up guy, after putting up with so many faux-dj honesty.

you didn't miss much. these are the most banal interviews ever! wtf! why are both stations asking about the same things? who cares about ricky gervais?? ask about the band and the album! although the will tadbit was fun.

either these interviews are not exactly live as advertised or chris has cloned himself. there was an overlap between the interviews. missed the first part.

2 things then! rush of blood and viva! they are always fighting for the top spot and changes constantly.

i'll admit there are some absolute gems there, like twisted logic and low. but as an album, it felt like a painting with a restricted color palette for me. anyway, we can agree on the wonder that is rush of blood :)

to me, sonically, the closest albums in coldplay's discography are rush of blood and x&y, although rush of blood is the far superior predecessor. i'm talking about the albums as a whole. i rank x&y in the lower half while rush of blood is top 2. we'll see how ahfod turn out.

going with jc90, all i can say is, x&y overall is not the most fresh lp coldplay put out. i feel like they were trying to recreate the magic in rush of blood as is and that's why they got such a blow back. but that was a good thing. this lead to viva! all in all, coldplay has done derivative things from early on in their career. the degree to which it is done may have changed now, but overall, they are not the most revolutionary, evolving, fresh band in the world. but we all absolute LOVE coldplay. either for similar or different reasons :) in this case, it looks like for different reasons and/or expectations. edit: that being said, i don't like amazing day much either. there is nothing to add to their discography to me. but it may be a lovely little song live if it catches on, going by the tfi performance.

looks like this is a fantastic source for coldplay info. this is a fansite by the looks of it. and looks like they had posted the full video of the radio 1 session sometime, but the file is deleted now. so keep an eye on this.

haha! not sure that he is on the way to the gym, but i see your point :) i couldn't find the picture i had in mind, so posted this instead. in that picture he is wearing the most random things a person could wear, from the colorful beanie to the boots. will post that if i find it.

along with giving chris "sheldon cooper" martin a makeover, i don't like those colorful flower chains (?) on the set. don't go with the rest of the aesthetics. seriously though, we should be alarmed the day chris gets a fashion sense. after all he is a man who dresses like this, and worse. with flowery shirts and smiley face hats.
