  1. thread is surprisingly low in activity. i assume everyone is waiting for 4pm to strike london time, like me?
  2. gosh the idiocy of some of the so called 'press' these days... not even a mention that this is the symbol for flower of life! anyway, the hype is high. i still think that the poster won't end up being the album cover. again, too easily revealed. there will be more fanfare to the actual artwork revelation. if this is the case, they are still building major hype while at the same time giving us a pretty good hint on the overall theme of the album! well done coldplay!
  3. chris was seen in malibu yesterday, so maybe he is on his way back now.
  4. gosh i'm dreading bring me the horizon hype killers already, going through the fb comments..
  5. single this friday! there's noway they would hype a single release for 2 weeks!
  6. done. we can be a bit surer about the possible friday release if we see chris in the uk this week.
  7. could it be coldplay?? the signs are all there for a friday massive promo event, possibly the new song. <blockquote class="twitter-tweet" lang="en"><p lang="en" dir="ltr">Joining me on <a href="https://twitter.com/R1Breakfast">@R1Breakfast</a> this week: Bradley Cooper, <a href="https://twitter.com/tyleroakley">@tyleroakley</a> <a href="https://twitter.com/RosieHW">@RosieHW</a>, <a href="https://twitter.com/RitaOra">@RitaOra</a>, Peter Capaldi, <a href="https://twitter.com/sigmahq">@sigmahq</a> & a MASSIVE guest on Friday </p>— nick grimshaw (@grimmers) <a href="https://twitter.com/grimmers/status/661180323791810560">November 2, 2015</a></blockquote> <script async src="//platform.twitter.com/widgets.js" charset="utf-8"></script> edit: link for mobile
  8. Coldplay’s ‘Viva La Vida’ is the best song to wake up to, according to science (and Spotify) It’s one of the few things that can get most of us out of bed in the morning – music. But what is the best jam to get you out of your jammies? Some go in for heavy metal to kick-start the day, while others prefer to ease into consciousness with some smooth jazz. However it turns out the best song to wake up to Coldplay’s anthemic Viva La Vida. That’s according to a study by Spotify, who have partnered up with music psychologist David M Greenberg to identify the best ‘wake up’ tunes. Their list was determined through a set of criteria of musical ingredients a song must have to get you out of bed. Such as… Music that builds: ‘A song that is too vigorous from the start won’t help you get out of bed – it’s too much too soon. Songs that start more gently (even just for a few seconds) and then build, help you wake up more gradually,’ the research determined. Positivity: ‘Once alert, you need to become motivated for the day to come; positive lyrics can get you out of a grumpy state and shift towards a feel-good attitude.’ Strong beat: ‘It’s not just the lyrics, it’s also the sonic elements of the music. Songs that emphasise beats 2 and 4 of each measure – usually with the bass and drums – with a BPM of approximately 100-130 will get you moving and further the feel good mood.’ Coldplay’s hit apparently fulfills all these requirements, which is why you should be hitting play on it each morning to help you face the world. Others in the 20 song ‘wake up’ playlist include Elevate by St Lucia, Money On My Mind by Sam Smith, and On Top Of The World by Imagine Dragons. Here’s the full playlist. You might notice that two songs on the list also have the words ‘wake’ and ‘up’ in their titles. ‘Waking up is hard. It’s a real struggle, sometimes even a battle, to shift from being tired and agitated to being alert and motivated,’ said Greenberg. ‘Science shows that music affects us in all types of ways, including emotionally, physiologically, and in the brain. The right music – like “Viva La Vida” by Coldplay with its positive energy and strong momentum – can help you wake up, get energized and tackle the rest of your day.’ x

  13. merged. thanks jc90. removed my time searching for the thread. as sparky pointed out, let's wait to create new threads instead of spawning multiple identical threads prematurely :)
  14. Would you call ELO one of the biggest bands in the world though? I won't
  15. Maaria, welcome to forum :) but please make sure you post coherent messages in relevant threads. i've deleted some of your messages.
  16. or people just aren't aware of the posters or not picking up on the link. afterall, the rumor is only starting and not a lot of publicity has been given to it outside of some mainstream music press.
  17. ^ logical. i am hoping for a single release next friday as well. probable.
  18. since you already know, doesn't fall under the "secret" category. also, looks like they have multiple artists on one show. make this happen coldplay!
  19. 'There's a surprise on nxt week's show that we can't talk about yet as it's a secret. One of the biggest bands in the world' sounds promising!
  20. so this from the original poster: Lee Thompson ‏@leethommo That sounded suspiciously like Chis Evans was hinting that Coldplay are live on TFI next Friday, didn't it?!? if so, it is highly probable they'll release the song next week. anyone else listening to chris evans?
  21. ditto. but at the same time, people can make a fuss and b**** about it.
  22. if anyone's interested, from the same person who heard the song partially:
  23. i assume female? then beyonce?
