Coldplay announcement on the Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show (9 May 2012)
Not quite what I expected but it's still nice to get to listen to a live stream of their London gig. *sign* I was hoping for a b-side EP, Olympic, or something about the DVD. Even though I know the chance is low. BTW, the CP karaoke thing sounds interesting. I'm going to listen to that.

Tomorrow's Daily Mirror (4 May 2012): Coldplay Chris' hearing torment
Me too! I took my earplugs out when Coldplay started. But I have my daughter kept hers in the entire show. It's nice that CP really care about the people who come to see them.

Tomorrow's Daily Mirror (4 May 2012): Coldplay Chris' hearing torment
Don't know if you guys read this article already(see below). When I went to the May 4th show, a crew member passed out bunch of earplugs to the security guards near the stage. Then the guards gave them out to whoever wanted them. I was there with my daughter. They asked if she got earplugs. http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/entertainment-arts-17952110 Plan B and Chris Martin back earplug campaign 4 May 2012 Last updated at 06:10 ET Rapper and actor Plan B only learnt of his condition when he visited an ear specialist Tinnitus sufferer Plan B is supporting a charity campaign which urges music fans to protect their hearing. Tinnitus, a constant buzzing in the ear, is often caused by loud music and is prevalent among musicians and frequent concert-goers. The Loud Music campaign aims to make people aware of the dangers. "If you're listening to music a lot, producing music or performing live, then always wear earplugs," said Plan B. "You're not Superman!" Continue reading the main story I damaged my hearing Mark Savage BBC News entertainment reporter Twenty years ago, as the CD I was listening to faded out, I noticed a constant, high-pitched hum in my room. It sounded like a TV had been left on with the sound turned down. But the TV was unplugged at the wall. Eventually, I chose to ignore the noise and slowly wrestled myself to sleep. When I woke, it was still there. It is still there today. I developed tinnitus because I play the drums. It turns out that the volume and pitch of the cymbals, positioned handily at ear level, is a perfect way to damage your hearing. But even a short exposure to loud noise can trigger tinnitus. Luckily, my condition is manageable and I cannot hear the 16kHz buzz above normal conversation. But I wish someone had offered me ear protection when I was younger. You don't miss silence until it's gone. "When I first developed it, I thought it was trains rushing by my house as I live near a railway line - it was really loud and an extremely high-pitched ringing in my ears," the 28-year-old singer says. "There's no doubt it's been caused by years of being on stage and subjected to very loud decibels of music." The Action on Hearing Loss campaign includes adverts and a video featuring people's ears being attacked by a drill or hammer. Earplugs will be handed out during London's Camden Crawl this weekend, which showcases new music talent and is credited with bringing artists such as Amy Winehouse into the limelight. "Looking after your ears is unfortunately something you don't think about until there's a problem," said Coldplay's Chris Martin, who is also backing the campaign. "I've had tinnitus for about 10 years, and since I started protecting my ears it hasn't got any worse. But I wish I'd thought about it earlier. "Now we always use moulded filter plugs, or in-ear monitors, to try and protect our ears." The Coldplay frontman has been suffering from tinnitus since he was 25 The campaign includes five tips on how music lovers can avoid permanent damage to their ears, including standing back from speakers and using chillout zones in clubs. Judge Jules, Jazzie B and DJ Smith have added their backing, while 70s chart-topper Gary Numan said he wished he had taken advice earlier. "I didn't look after my ears and I'm in trouble," said Numan, 54. "It's getting serious, to the point that I can't mix my music properly anymore, so it's majorly impacted on my career. "If I'd just looked after them when I was younger then this would never have happened, so I very much regret it. "I would often be at gigs, standing at the front next to the speakers, not wearing earplugs, thinking I'm cool and being manly, but that's just rubbish, it's stupid. "So look after your hearing and wear earplugs."

I didn't thought of the advantage of bringing a kid to concert before and now I know:wink3:. Once we sat down on our seat, the guard walked over and talked to my daughter. He said since she is short, she can stand anywhere she wants to see better. Once the people on the 1st row stood to watch the show. He waved us over and told my daughter to stand on someone's chair. When other people tried to stand on their chair, he couldn't let them though. My daughter really enjoyed the show. She listened to CP music with me all the time and can sing most of their songs. My younger one (3 1/2) can also sing quite a few of their songs. She likes to copy Chris dance move. I called them my little Coldplayer. Haha! I'll try the photo thing. Thanks for helping! :D

I went to the concert on May 4th and it's just absolutely amazing! I went with my 6 years old daughter. We got to stand very close to the stage, thanks to the nice security guard (we got moved from row 6 to 1 and he told my daughter to stood on the chair to get a better view). Although we're not in the center but more to the right side, near where Guy stood. I just have to say that Chris is unbelievably gorgeous. He is very cute. He walked toward where we stood a few times. He widened his eyes when he saw my daughter and gave her a sweet smile. (I guess he doesn't see a lot of kids in the 1st row and my daughter was wearing a Coldplay shirt decorated with all the MX locos) During Every Teardrop is A Waterfall, he walked over and did that crouch down thing he always do when singing that song. The girls next to me and I almost died looking at him up close!!! When he played Clock on the piano and rocked his chair, it the sexiest moment. I'm still in a haze after 3 days! :drunk: I got a few pictures that I like to share (not very good quality because it's taken by cell phone). Can someone tell me how to attach pictures from my computer? I don't see the attachment button in the reply screen. Sorry I'm not very good at these things! :computer:
