Dear Prudence, open up your eyes Dear Prudence, see the sunny skies The wind is low, the birds will sing That you are part of everything Dear Prudence, won't you open up your eyes? Look around round Look around round round Look around Dear Prudence, let me see you smile Dear Prudence, like a little child The clouds will be a daisy chain So let me see you smile again Dear Prudence, won't you let me see you smile?

Your Love Is Like The Sunshine Verse 1 Your eyes shine like gold They're telling me all the stories that you never told You're the voice in the sky that tells me where to go You're the guiding light that shows me the way home Chorus Your love, your love Is like the sunshine The sun that shines And lifts my heart and soul Verse 2 I walk down the long road Thinking through all this talk of growing old I never said I wouldn't ever hurt you I never said I wouldn't ever lie Chorus Your love, your love Is like the sunshine The sun that shines And lifts my heart and soul Bridge Oh, and I'm praying Oh, but I can't hear what you're saying Chorus Your love, your love Is like the sunshine The sun that shines And lifts my heart and soul Bridge Oh, and I'm begging Oh, yeah I'm begging
  7. Tarantino is a genius when it comes to choosing soundtracks for movies: Reservoir Dogs Pulp Fiction Jackie Brown American Beauty's soundtrack is another favourite of mine as well
  8. I was dying to go, but I didn't have 125 quid to spare. And now the line-up's been announced, I want to go even more. It's just not fair.

  11. Yeah, that's the one. I changed the lyrics a bit since that recording was made though. It's my favourite of the songs I've written so far.
  12. A song I wrote on my frustration about various things going on in my life: Calm Down Verse 1 When the light When the light has gone away And there's no sign of yesterday Won't you just let it be? Verse 2 I don't need to calm down I don't need to smile Won't you just let it be? Chorus If this is all it takes to lose your mind Then won't you take it easy for a while? Verse 3 If this is all you're good for Then you're no good for me Won't you just let me be? Verse 4 If you can't make up your own mind Then you won't make mine as well Won't you just let me be? Chorus This is all it takes to lose your mind So won't you take it easy for a while? Solo Chorus You tried it once but now you've lost your mind You tried it once but now you've lost your mind If is all it takes to lose your mind Then won't you take it easy for a while?
  13. It does that sometimes just keep pressing 'refresh'
  14. I think there could be some on The White Album or something which are labelled just 'Lennon' or 'McCartney', but I'm not sure. If you go here: http://www.iamthebeatles.com/article1038.html There's a list of all their songs and descriptions for the vast majority of them, which tells you everything you need to know about each one (exactly who wrote it, what it's about etc.)
  15. And you wonder why the cool kids never invite you to throw rocks  It's true. I really do envy all those rock-throwing youths of today. Oh, how I long to go outside and throw some rocks! It's just not fair, dammit!
  16. if something goes wrong (like say, I knock something over), I say something like: "Aagh, it's like the apocalypse!"
  17. listening to The Mars Volta and playing songs on guitar in open G tuning :uneasy:
  18. Before Noel joined Oasis, they were called 'Rain' (after the Beatles song)
  19. All of their songs said 'Lennon/McCartney' on them regardless of whichever had written them, because it was in their contract. In reality, the only songs they wrote together properly were the very early ones like 'She Loves You' and 'Ticket To Ride'. Then their songwriting partnership started drifting apart, and eventually they were writing almost independently. Apparently, Paul was the only one in the band who liked 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer'. I couldn't really see John wanting anything to do with it, so it wouldn't surprise me if Paul wrote that by himself. Anyway - I don't think 'Ob La Di Ob La Da' is as bad as most people would tell you. But it's another one I wouldn't have missed if it hadn't been written.
  20. Don't get me wrong - while McCartney is my least favourite songwriter in the Beatles, there are a lot of his songs I love. Songs like 'Hello Goodbye', 'Blackbird', 'Hey Jude', and 'Sgt. Pepper' are some of my favourite Beatles tracks. I just don't like that poppy, happy, bouncy, sing-along sound that many of his songs had. Songs like 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' (which I'm certain was written by him, at least the bulk of it was I'm sure) 'Carry That Weight', 'Fixing A Hole' and 'Get Back' are songs which I certainly wouldn't have missed. 'Maxwell's Silver Hammer' is one of the worst songs I have ever heard in my life.
  21. Vocal & Rhythm Guitar: Jeff Buckley Lead Guitar: Omar Rodriguez-Lopez (The Mars Volta) Synthesizer: Jonny Greenwood (Radiohead) Bassist: Les Claypool (Primus) Drums: Keith Moon (The Who) that'll do for both, I think
