ETIAWF, MM and MTM wont be on the actual Album?
They said the album is yet to be finished so I doubt this lot will be on the album - they have just put it out for the festivals.

Back To The Future Theme
That was before Chris was over confident with his ability and hanging out with the likes of JayZ

Back To The Future Theme
As you know this has featured at the start of the new gigs before the band comes on. Is anyone else worried that Chris will use the theme to write a new song? Maybe it's a hint? :(

The 'negative' ETIAW discussion
Not really a 100% new song though is it Chris? Who says creativity is dead, eh?

When do you think LP5 will come out?
The new songs will make up a EP as a stop gap until LP5 is out in 2012........a return to the stripped down approach of the first two albums :)

New Coldplay eh?
Yeh I agree U2 peaked in 1991. I only really liked the last 4 tracks of KOL. The rest seemed like a Thom Yorke solo album. But to be fair to Coldplay they made it pretty big after the 2nd album around 2003 - much earlier than U2. Viva is my favourite album and my least favourite is X & Y - saying that I do pine for the early stuff as I have been a fan since 2000.

Coldplay: Greatest downfall in the history of music?
That title goes to The Beatles without question.

Coldplay: Greatest downfall in the history of music?
Agreed that was the point when U2 become a brand more than a band. I am afraid that Coldplay will end up the same way.

New Coldplay eh?
Yes. But in recent years they have played it very safe because they want to stay as commerical as possible as sadly they are a brand. Whilst Radiohead are content doing whatever they want and so be it. It would appear Coldplay want to stay at the top now - judging by the new stuff. They need a kick up the backside and some pressure especially Chris, who appears to be stuck in a rut, so far.

This is ridiculous...
Nice logic there. Just because you don't agree with something it doesn't mean others don't have the right to express their opinion? It's a internet forum for Coldplay fans past and present able to express their views. Don't like it? Then leave.

New Coldplay eh?
If you want anything remotely resembling the first two album's they need to get Ken Nelson back.........but it would appear during X & Y bridges were burnt :( The whole story of how ETIAW came about is very worrying. Chris has been hanging out with Jay-Z too much. Most bands don't make it to 5 albums. After hearing some of the new songs - in time this new album could be remembered as Coldplay's weakest......it just sounds like a band who are playing it safe. The same happened to U2. The complete opposite happened to Radiohead. But these are only live versions of half a album at best so fingers crossed. The chorus of "Hurts Like Heaven" is shockingly bad.
