It's all a matter of getting used to the new version. I mean we had years to getting used to the demos that were leaking. Give yourselfs some time to adjust. I'm so thrilled that finally the track is a thing!

The documentary isn't supposed to show footage of shows that is paired with the live feed, this was always done in docu-style shows from artists (see Madonna's I'm going to tell you a secret). It's more like a "lets make the track shorter and assemble the best vocal parts of a selection of shows" idea. Also there is currently no artist by Live Nation that their vocals are not autotuned both while performing live and in home releases of the show. What I find more interesting is that they completely lipsynced Clocks on all shows. I guess Chris can't pull out the song anymore, especially that late in a setlist.

This is the only reason why the lossless/wav/flac version is worth it but, it's just slightly differently programmed vocals, the rest of it is ideantical to the leak. Here's also my personal spin to the artwork, it's supposed to match the design language of the current era:

It's not real lossless/WAV/FLAC and it' sped up with somekind of toold that is not really good at the job. Stick to the original leak. ;)

Yeah also the file is not real lossless. Somebody's been tampering with stuff... BTW, check youtube and try to search for Avicii Heaven, they seem to have recently wiped anything related. I'm hyped!

It's sped up too. Somebody messed up with the file or the multitrack session.

I wouldn't mind a lossless version of that aswell. I know some friends that had it but I was way too bored to ask! (feels stupid)

Here's a small tidbit. After A Sky Full of Stars and Heaven sessions where done and Chris' version didn't come to fruition and put to a project, Heaven was passed and almost got recorded for Madonna's "Rebel Heart" album. Madonna passed on it when her schedule got overwhelmed with recordings she could not finish with Avicii because of his health and schedule issues, which eventually resulted in the album being stripped by his production as a whole in the end result. Man, the Avicii produced version/demo of "Borrowed Time" is a masterpiece, I wonder how it would sound if Heaven ended up being recorded.

That actually sounds more like somebody with the stems did a mix of his own or actually an even earlier demo than the one we had. The sidechain compression is off, the mixing is off and it uses the vocal takes that can be seen muted on the protools session. I heavily doubt that this is the final mix, I heavily doubt that his producer friends would cone up with such an amateur job.

Hmm, that's 16:9 though and it's identical to the circulating projections of the show while the image I posted is 21:9 and shows more stuff on the sides than what is cropped on this one. That was my point. Also I had no idea they recycled the ASFOS projection for Hypnotised, it was not a part of the setlist of the show I attended. Interesting.

WAIT, WAIT WAAAIIIT a moment, I got something that needs to be discussed. Is this what I think it is? Isn't that the projection screen of A Sky Full Of Stars? Why would they master it on this aspect ratio? Is it maybe somekind of an upcoming Blu-Ray extra or something? Hmmm...!!!

They do this thing that they put a -5db 200Hz highpass filter on the mic feed and compress the bass and the guitar sidechained to the vocals but with the volume down which I really don't like aswell. It's not only Coldplay these days that they do that, but I hate when they do that on male voices that have alot of harmonical content bellow 200Hz. It makes their voice sound tiny, like they sing with a webcam microphone on their hand. The issue can be somewhat remedied using the 5.1 stream and apply a +5db amplification on anything below 200Hz and slightly compress that frequency range.

Also, anybody that already has the Live in Sao Paulo DVD care to post the stream information of the disc? Mine is YET to come. *angry* I'm thinking on recompiling all contents of the DVD (menus and everything) using the 1080p stream and put it on an AVCHD DVD iso (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/AVCHD) that can be burned and played back on any Blu-Ray player.

Major update: Here's footage of Carl Fark programming Simon's versions of Heaven. Alexander Björklund and Sebastian Furrer from Cazzette are co-producers. Throughout the stream you hear countless of unused vocal takes, unused production ideas, isolated untouched vocals and isolated instruments. Also it seems that Carl Fark got the green light and is working on releasing Heaven (or a whole EP?) containing Chris's vocals. He posted on Instagram a screenshot of the actual Logic Pro X session: I'm not exactly sure if I'm correct but what I see is from these screenshots is that Chris's vocal takes are muted(?). They might be rebounced to a different track that has no indication on the filename though or that might mean that they are no longer in the session and Simon's vocals are used only.

I'm overwhelmed by mixed feelings. I cannot even function at this moment. I can barely think.

I'm not sure how am I supposed to feel.

Got a promo of Live In Buenos Aires discs and I'm worried. Some tracks have a mastering error/glitch that renders tracks mostly unreadable. I hope it's not the case with the retail release. PS: I can clearly hear some autotune there! :p

I don't think there are bad Coldplay songs. With that being said I believe there are overrated songs and songs that offer little to nothing to an album as a whole.
