I remember that I had whatsapp on my current not-so-smart nokia and when I disabled my wifi that app started to waste all my credit so I deleted it (the app wasn't even opened or active, the only thing I had done was make an account) so when for example, I cycle to school and there's no wifi on the way, will I be fucked?

When you use a smartphone, do you need a subscription (because some apps are bitches and won't stop using internet) or can I keep on using my rechargeable phone card? (that way I can't use mobile internet, only wifi) It's that I'm about to enter the 21st century and I'm such a noob
