PILATE
Crazy!! I just found their forum and joined it- then I come here and I find this thread- they are really catching on. Does anyone else think it's totally eerie how much the lead singer sounds like a young Bono?! I love Into Your Hideout- I'm going to go pick up the album this Friday... They were here playing at UBC, but I didn't know- I didn't know and I missed them!!! :embarrased:

Lyrics of the day!
So familliar and overwhelmingly warm In this place, this form I hold now So wild-eyed and hopeful So wild-eyed and hopefully wild We can barely remember what came before This precious moment I am choosing to be here, right now Hold on, stay inside This body, this body holding me Be my reminder that I am not alone in This body feeling eternal All this pain is an illusion - Parabol, Tool These are the lyrics that have been with me for the past few weeks... anyone else a Tool fan?

Things that make you happy in the morning.

What was the last movie you saw?
Last movie on TV was a version of 'Jane Eyre' with William Hunt- which was good. Last movie in the theatre was Hellboy- should've waited 'til it came out on video- it was entertaining, but not brilliant.

FRIENDS
I love Friends! Phoebe and Joey rock. Rachael is way too cool for Ross, but they belong together. I am so sad that Friends and Sex in the City ended the same year... P.S. He must have super-sexual powers or something 'cause he's such a weiner but has pretty hot women want him... what's up with that?

Pepsi or Coke?
Diet Coke, Vanilla Coke, but regular Pepsi- weird eh? but I barely drink cola's anymore- most of the time I drink sparkling mineral water with lemon- pretentious, non?

Things that get you angry/ upset in the morning.
When the bastard bus-driver won't wait for me at the stop even though I'm tearing down the street as quick as I can and he saw my bloody bus come by and knows people will have to transfer to him- HE KNOWS and he leaves me there anyway so I have to stand there in the rain waiting for either one of my busses 'cause the bus that I got OFF of has now proceeded on it's way.  I then learned that it's not even worth trying and stay on the same bus until it takes me about 10 minutes from my work. It's just a downhill walk, so not such a big deal anyway... :idea2:

How fast do you read ?
I think so... he certainly had a higher opinion of cultures that give greater weight to the mystical than the intellectual/consumerist drives of Western Culture... I think he saw the Western world a bunch of barbarians.

Namaste, Namaste!
Do you practice yoga yourself? or are you just on the up and up of 'new age' stuff?

How fast do you read ?
I inhale books. Depending on your interests, I would recommend Aldus Huxley's 'Island'- more compelling and less well known than his 'Brave New World' and gives you some good ideas on how to make yourself more sane in this crazy world!

Namaste, Namaste!
Wow- thanks for doing all that research! I really enjoy doing yoga, and that is what we say when we finish our class together. I always thought of it as meaning "The divine in me recognizes the divine in you" I don't recognize your flag... where are you from?

Tell me something about you that I don't know

canadians....
I don't bother locking the door until I'm going to bed or leaving the house, but then I make sure that there aren't any windows open at all. Although there isn't a lot of murder or violent crime in my area (Vancouver), it is absolutely HORRIBLE when it comes to property crime. Since moving here nearly 10 years ago, I have been broken into 3 times and they've taken EVERYTHING  and my friends are always having their cars broken into- like 3 or 4 times a year. However, I've walked through the Downtown Eastside (junkietown) and places like Kensington Market or the poorer areas near the CNE without a worry or care in the world... but I would never, ever have gone anywhere near the real projects in Toronto- that's just asking for trouble. I think the point that Moore is trying to get at is that poor areas in Canada don't immediately turn into crime-infested slums... and I'm sure that's the case for a lot of working-class areas in America either, but poverty isn't that visible here in a lot of respects in comparison. Ok- I'm rambling- shaddap now :D

Greetings Earthlings
Hi everyone... I'm looking forward to meeting new people from all over the world who admire Coldplay's music and message as much as I do. I'm in my late 20s and I like to talk about what's going on in the world today, interesting books, films and so on and learn what other people are experiencing in order to broaden my horizons. I've got a fairly serious writing style, but in reality I'm a still the brat I was at 18 or so, but with a much better temper. So if you enjoy debating, feel free to engage with me... Oh yeah- Coldplay is AWESOME!
