Stop dissing Orlando- he did a great job playing an unlikable character. Paris is supposed to be a frustratingly naive, self-centred, vain princeling, and that's exactly how Orlando played him. Don't confuse the character with the freakin' actor. And tell me, exactly how would you play an elf? He was just fine in Pirates... he's going to be a good actor when he gets a leading role- he's just way overexposed right now 'cause he's considered so 'hot' (figuratively and literally). There are so many others that a are truly truly bad- Hayden Christiansen is awful ('Life as a House' and Star Wars -kill me now, just as long as I don't have to listen to this guy say another word!). No one has mentioned what a true and pathetic ham Elizabeth Hurley is. Ben Affleck is an affected wet noodle. Keanu of course takes the cake both in terms of pretention and woodenness. Last but not least.... HALLE BERRY IS LIKE DIGGING DULL HOT RAZORS INTO MY BRAIN- MAKE IT STOP!

I am conflicted about: whether I want to go to yoga more or to do more walking, rollerblading and playing frisbee with friends at the park; whether I should still be in my six year long relationship; whether I should use the opportunity of a trial seperation with my bf while he is on vacation for 4 weeks to go have a couple one night stands; whether I am a bad person... I am conflicted. Maybe if I did more yoga, I would be more centred... :/

Back to the topic... I might adopt. It's funny you all keep saying check back with me later, and I used to be all over having kids ('cause I was deeply in love) and now I'm thinking that I like having my life and I still want to travel, and this world is too crazy and how will I ever make enough money to support anyone else, I can barely support myself and why would I want to lose my figure and the world is too polluted- ('cause right now, I'm not so much in love and am not confident in my relationship) :o Funny how that works, eh? :P

I voted for Rupert because he's going to spread the money around in his community... I think ShiAnn played really smart, but she was totally outnumbered- despite her smarts though, she could be pretty annoying- too smart for her own good. Let me just say Smart one more time 'S-M-R-T!' I think it's cool that we the audience gets to pick who we think should have a million bucks.

Maybe I'm totally unromantic, but why the heck did Rachal have to give up HER career opportunity?! Why didn't fuddy duddy boring weenie Ross think that Hmmm... maybe, since you love her, you support her ambitions AND MOVE HIMSELF?! The last episode was a boring non-funny sexist piece of crap. Rachel deserves so much better... a very dissatisfying end to an otherwise great show.

I thought Aliens was much cooler than Alien. Don't mean to nit-pick but LOTR is all one book, it was just split into three books for the ease of publishing and printing it in the 1950's and all the movies were filmed at the same time, so technically- THEY'RE NOT SEQUELS!!! JEEZ! I also think 'The Spy Who Shagged Me' was way more biting and funny than the first Austin Powers.

I really liked the first one in terms of how the shots were composed and the look of everything... all that empty dirty desert and trailer trash in the second one- bleh... The second half was a total change of pace... I liked it, but prefer the mania of the first half. Just my opinion, and I'm no expert.

Pilate "Caught in the Window" The Mars Volta ...could you get any more contrasting?! The Mars Volta was under $10, so I was happy.

Sweet Surrender- Sarah McLaughlan

Voices that turn me on... male and female (I am straight, but liberated aka kinky) Bono, Maynard James Keenan (in his work with A Perfect Circle), Tori Amos, Robert Plant, - someone none of you (?) have heard of Ron Hawkins from the late band, Lowest of the Low, and on the cheap thrills side of things Pink and Lil Kim.

I don't really know who most of these guys are and don't really care what they look like anyway. It's about the music, right? ;) Although I think it's pretty funny that Beck got on the list... he looks like my kid brother.

The new single is pretty good- they're pulling out a lot of new school tricks, but it's still classic 'Beastie'. Soooooo excited about the new album. My favourite has always been Paul's Boutique.

Evanescence, IMHO, is remarkably unremarkable in their corny cliche-ridden neo-goth angst. I can tell exactly what she's going to sing and how she's going to sing it in every song. She has a decent voice but she is just soooo dramatic... *snore* Avril is equally boring for pretty much the same reasons- just replace 'goth' with 'punk'. :P Maybe I'm just a weirdo who refuses to like most popular music because it's popular. I heard Coldplay on the radio for over a year before someone put Parachutes on in the cafe I worked in and realized they were actually good. Don't think I could stand that with Evanescence though... I would run away. :D

I fail to understand how it's somehow Nirvana's fault that lame-ass take themselves way too seriously bands like Nickleback appeared. Besides, Nickleback doesn't sound like grunge- it sounds like wanky rock'n'roll- unfortunately, that's always around. :( Alternative music was great before it got labeled 'Grunge' was and was co-opted by corporate shills who delivered to us using people with the lowest common denominator taste and talent. :angry: Oh, for all those who were in diapers when Nirvana was redifining the world music scene and try to dis them.... PUH-leeze. Sorry, I was there- and you were being potty trained or whatever listening to Barney soundtracks. *Ahem ahem- Parchutist* Ok- I'm done now. Anyway, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice In Chains and Nirvana are still worth listening to... and ya- way better than a lot of bands since.

Nice... Hopefully they'll get the hint to come back to Vancouver ASAP. I'm going to be spreading the good word around here so they end up with a decent fan-base to come to. :cool:
