I don't think there's any division per se.. Chris and Jonny were the firsts to know each other so it's natural. Kinda like one having a couple of bestfriends, but there's always one that you can relate to more than the others. Doesn't make the others any less of great friends though. They have had trouble in the past of course.. the one that jumps at me the most is when Chris flipped out on Will and kicked him out of the group. But that was way before Parachutes.

Omg I know! It seems like when you're on top, the only way to go is down. No matter what you do. It's so depressing.

But do you really believe that? Man I hate it when people say things like "you're not a true fan!" yadda yadda.. but I could not even begin to imagine disliking my favorite band because one of them drank champagne at the Brits.. or for performing a certain way? It's beyond ridiculous. Chris is not the only member of Coldplay. I think CP would have to start microwaving puppies before I ever gave up on them... :lol: (and maybe even then I'd have to think about it! :laugh3:)

Yeah.. I think they're trying to bank on the "Coldplay Split!" rumors by calling it a solo collaboration. It's pretty stupid, Chris has collaborated alone with plenty of other artists in the past, there's no reason to put that as a headline.

So Chris isn't free to drink champagne. He also isn't free to perform how he wants to perform.. he has to sit on his piano and look pretty for years and years to come. Never knew Chris was a puppet, guess ya learn something new everyday. If you're saying Coldplay doesn't take any risks, your whole post is senseless. If Coldplay are a "safe bet" you can believe that Chris would be sitting at his piano doing what he's known for, singing a song that can be easily confused for one in Parachutes. And okay.. X&Y sounds over-produced to you, but what of it? I would get bored out of my mind with a band that made acoustic albums every single time, but maybe that's just me. I really hate the way some people act like Coldplay can't branch out and experiment or try to become popular. There's nothing wrong with being known, you know. It's how you use the fame, that really matters.

I've only been to one AROBTTH show and one TL one so far, but I much rather the Parachutes shows. The 2001 ones, in particular. Lotsa great, obscure songs like Murder, 1:36 and Idiot on the set...wish I had flown out and seen them somewhere back then!

I love Fiona, so glad she's getting positive reviews! Can't wait to see both her and Coldplay in March. :nice:

You get influenced, especially by a spouse.. it's pretty natural I think. Actually I think it's hard not to. A good friend of mine is British and I find myself saying things like 'bloke' and 'mate' and 'the telly' at times because of him! Even the accent comes out with certain words.. it's quite weird! :lol: Gwyneth can be kinda strange sometimes, but I wouldn't fault her for that.

I don't think Chris said anything wrong though? He said we wouldn't see them for a long time and that's true. The thing is, they said the same thing back in the AROBTTH days (to record X&Y) and no one made a fuss of it. The difference now, is that they have a larger audience and the media pounced on it. I don't see anything wrong with his comment..but maybe there's something I missed? So many people are complaining about that. As for the dancing, it definitely shows that Chris is more confident in his ability to perform. I personally think he should dance his butt off if he wants, for years Chris has been performing on a piano or just singing normally and if he wants to change it up...well, what's wrong with that?

Kanye is really talented.. but I am amazed at how his body can support his big head. He's so cocky, it's a huge turnoff. But the song definitely sounds interesting.
