i gave it a 5/10. has some decent catchy songs on it, nothing really blowing me away like parachutes or arobtth....but that's ok, everyone knew which direction coldplay was going after viva came out. cash it in boys.

now why in the world would they NOT put it on the cd yet have it on the DVD?? I would love to hear the official explanation on that one. As if it were so incredibly difficult to just go ahead and add another couple minutes on the cd, i mean really. I bet it was some marketing a-hole or label "agreement."

You are saying it's impossible to stick with that mindset of writing and producing music just because they got popular? If thats the case you must not think much of coldplay, you must think they are so dumb that they just keep "evolving" out of control and just HAVE to move on. They are adult musical professionals, they are fully capable of making whatever hell music they want.

i think they need to get rid of all these extra people "helping" them. they need to go back to the year 2000 and surround themselves with whatever they had back then. each time you bring in these "helpers" they all want to have a hand in making/marketing the music. look at all the youtube videos of their concerts and songs from parachutes and AROBTTH, they are so brilliant. they've still put out good songs since, but i feel like they will never ever go back to 2000.

i've said this for years. there are coldplay fans that will fall over anything the band puts out. chris martin could record himself taking a dump and fans would think its great. i think this song is just flat, doesn't really do anything.

yes i skip it every single time, i think it's awful. probably even more so because it was a single and overplayed. Just like clocks, which i can't listen to anymore either.

i hate starting new threads, especially about non-coldplay issues but this song is great. It's played at the end of the movie "two lovers" with gwyneth paltrow and joaquin phoenix....I was wondering if any of you guitar tab pros could figure out this tab or could find it somewhere on the internet. I've tried and had no luck so far. yeah i doubt the lyric is "cave." I agree that it has absolutely no place in the song and doesn't sound like something chris martin would come up with. i asked this question at least 4 years ago on here and still haven't found any tabs. all anyone ever said was that he used some kind of weird octave pedal/whatever you call it for the effects. I asked how common this octave effect was and apparently its custom and therefore extremely pricey.
