yea i do notice this song does try to make some little bit of sense, like you can tell at least he's talking about something bad... song reminds me a bit of AROBTTH the song, kind of dark, but good 'ol coldplay through and through

oh dear... i was just about to finish up listening to the album the first time and go make myself a sandwich when i heard chris laugh "one, two" and that piano and guitar hit at the beginning and my heart melted as much as the grill cheese sandwich i was about to eat. wonderful signature, sickxofxme, wonderful. this song is the perfect successor of life is for living. i'm going to go throw away my masculinity and cry to this song now.

i love this song... but it definately has a different feel than the other songs... more of a AROBTTH with a tempo upgrade and some swing thrown in there... the guitar is beautiful

parachutes has always reminded me of walking around on a foggy field somewhere in england... how odd...

i dunno why "How you see the world" wasn't put on the album... i would have put that in place of "hardest part" (blasphemy!) or just made it on the freaking euro and north american cd, dangit :angry:

i don't skip it, cause i know it'll grow on me, but a message is the only song that i'll have to put my foot down and say that the song would have been better without the synthesizer. it only works at the very end of the song, and i feel the song loses it's touch because of the synthesizer. it's the only song i feel would've fit perfectly with a more parachutes-esque backdrop, but that's just my personal opinion... :confused:

The Wallflowers, anyone? Has anyone out there besides me heard of the Wallflowers? I seriously think that they are the most underrated band i listen to nowadays, both their last albums being stellar shows of musicianship. (Red Letter Days and Breach). But they've only had one real radio hit that I can remember and that was way back in 96 with one headlight... Maybe there are some other fans out there...

hey you dontpanic_, i totally agree. parachutes and AROBTTH had this intimate feel as if you were listening to them jamming right in your room, or in some club in london somewhere. I won't be able to attend a concert cause the guys aren't coming down south again (they came to the Saenger Theater of New Orleans in January '03 BEFORE i started liking them, figures) and I anticipate a new live album out for the Twisted Logic Tour once it's all said and done...

Well I first heard clocks on the radio, but this one group of girls I was hanging out with was really into coldplay, so me being the nerdy loser I am, went out and got AROBTTH, thinking they may like me better, and then push comes to shove and now here I am and I can't get enough coldplay into my system in the 24 hours we call a day. And of the girls? they're history.
