  1. must say i think 'the importanceof being idle' is up there with the best songs oasis have ever released :)
  2. bought the new oasis single 'the importance of being idle' the other day. on the dvd single it has the demo version of the track, the video and the making of the video documentary. great stuff :D

  6. just to add to that coldplay have done alot of promo for their records, for example tv, radio and internet sessions, interviews etc. other bands are catching on to this. oasis for example have done alot more promo appearances for this album than any of the others
  7. i've always like oasis and i thought it was great to hear laim talk openly and honestly about how he feels about oasis. like liam said they took their foot off the pedal for a while and made a few mistakes. but this year they've released a really good album and have been great on tour. I think coldplay have changed things for alot of bands, making other bands realise if they work hard they could be sucessful too. coldplay played some big and famous american venues on the 'rush of blood' tour in 2003 eg madison square garden, hollywood bowl and red rocks to name a few. Oasis have now raised their game on this latest tour to play their biggest ever venues in america. i think the influence of coldlay has made them get their drive, focus and ambition back.
  8. it sounds interesting, shame we'll have to wait till at least 2007 to hear any of it. :( i would think he may change his mind about the piano but the time they get to record, its all a long way off yet

  12. is this a lyric from a track coldplay have written or just something chris has said at a live gig?

    are you refering to the songs the dj plays before coldplay take the stage when i went to see the band on 27th June 2005 at Crystal palace in london they played songs by these bands kraftwerk stone roses the smiths the beatles radiohead

  21. i prefered athletes first album 'vehicles and animals'. has a laid back summery feel to it :)
  22. i suppose a few of the bands that have played at the virgin festival before are currently away recording albums. eg. Keane, snow patrol, the strokes, starsailor and david gray

  25. i think they've improved in the studio. i think they're great live at the moment too. they may even get better towards the end of the tour
