I found it pretty easy with a compass:- 1. Draw 1 circle ( any size you want) 2. Place compass point on any part of that circle and draw another circle. 3. Place compass point on either intersection of these 2 circles and draw another. 4. Keep moving around the 1st circle doing this until you have drawn 6 more around the original. 5.Then move to the outer edge and repeat, drawing a further 6 circles. Another layer like this will result in the AHFOD Flower. 6. You can keep going, using the same pattern, to make your FOL bigger. Just keep using the intersections as the exact spot to place your compass point. GOOD LUCK ! I was wearing my FOL Tshirt the other day and a hippy-type bloke said he loved it and he had the symbol tattooed on his neck " Great ! " I thought..." recognition at last." Then as I was about to ask if he'd been to any concerts he started talking about the deep hidden significance / symbolism and 'how we all know what's going on' ........ OH ! - so not a Coldplay fan then ? I came home and googled it to further my understanding.... fascinating stuff !

Don't know if this is any help. I've just made a star ( weird, as I faced my pentagon and couldn't remember how to fold it !) then I wrote 'OPEN ME' on the 5 small exterior triangles, opened it up again to mark where they were, then wrote inside & re-folded it, just to make sure those words remained hidden. The original Coldplay sheet of instructions were not very clear at one stage and I found a simple, word-free tutorial on You Tube which revealed the 'magic' of making these stars.

I love this idea. When the origami stars were first used for the Ghost Story gigs and the instructions were published there was a thread, where people photographed their stars in various places across the world. We could do the same with these - photos of where they are 'planted' on Twitter etc. I made dozens of them at the time and I'm looking forward to making more... just hope I don't get done for littering !

'Brothers in Arms' - Dire Straits Give it a listen... old, but good.

As solar fairy lights are now so readily available, and cheap, you can leave the solar panel on your bedroom window and arrange the lights around your 'shrine'. Then every night they are twinkling as you enter your room and you can re-live the concerts ( especially Ghost Stories) and just switch them off when you want to sleep. Remember to switch them on each morning for recharging. Saves buying batteries or using electricity. Also my FOL t-shirt arrived in the post this morning......... I don't think I'll ever take it off.
