  1. remember when they were considered like the beatles of this generation? what a joke.
  2. I love Steve Miller Band. Great songs. Jet Airliner is my favorite.
  3. I need some release, release, release.....I need love and peace! it's been stuck in my head all day, what a good song.
  4. gar!! I dislike fall out boy very much!
  5. I don't see their appeal at all. Where's the depth to their songs? And doesn't that guy's voice get a little annoying after a while?
  6. I just read that book, It was a good but it just wasn't my type that's all. It was too....how would you say....."girly". or feminine.
  7. Wow, this really great stuff. Keep it up! :)
  8. I like Alright. It's got a "Good Day Sunshine" feel to it. Very nice. The trumpets in the backround are a nice touch.
  9. Well said an_cat, well said. These threads are stupid anyway, how can you compare these bands with each other? It's rediculous! How can you compare Oasis with a progressive rock band like Radiohead? Same with Coldplay. There so different, I don't see how people can compare or relate those three bands with each other. When you make a thread like this, you're just asking for trouble. Just my opinion.
  10. Hey I know this is a little late, but I just bought Don't Believe the Truth and I must say I was pleasantly surprised. What a fantastic album! Love Like a Bomb is my favorite song on the album and in my opinion the best. My only problem is I feel like they could've done so much more with Let There Be Love which is a great song, but they could've added more to it. However, what a great album.
  11. if only they knew.
  12. It's all about how people want attention and how people are insecure about their own talents and competition with other bands. It's free publicity I guess.
  13. Julia by the Beatles, The Long and Winding Road by the Beatles, Caught by the River by Doves or Everybody Hurts by REM are sad songs. They make me sad anyways.
  14. Exactly, I totally agree. It's the media of our day. They just like to sensationalize stories and quotes, such as this. I just posted it to see what you guys thought of this rubbish.
  15. A Perfect Circle is great. However, they shouldn't get too political. "Passive" is the only good "political" song, in my opinion. I just can't wait until Tool's new album comes out, I've been waiting for soooo long!
  16. http://www.ultimate-guitar.com/news/general_music_news/u2_to_retire.html Is this true? No way. I don't believe it. I think think it's a quote taken out of context.... again.
  17. hah but nevertheless they were a pop band. The rock n roll they were playing was considered pop in those days.
  18. Definitly Porcupine Tree or Doves: no recognition what-so-ever :/
  19. Thank you Mark Messier!! The Rangers and the NHL will miss you!
  20. I figure, they're trying to be like the Beatles and remember guys, the Beatles were a "pop" band in the beginning. The Click Five are a pop band now, but unless in a couple of years they make a "Sgt Pepper" album, they'll just be old news.
  21. Yeah, at least they're still trying to be creative in their videos; they're still trying to make a difference in music (as if they already aren't ha). The fact that re-made their video means that they care about it and I guess they felt that they could do better.
  22. yeah same here, wasn't too impressed. But hey, it's a great song.. you can't put a video to a song like that.
  23. Curb Your Enthusiasm has grown on me. At first I didn't like it, but I now realize that it's basically Seinfeld and Larry David is basically George. It's a funny show.
