It went from 9:30pm to 11pm. It was excellent. They literally played back to back songs.

The White Stripes - My concert experience! Last night I had the privilage of seeing The White Stripes perform at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles, CA. I wanted to share my concert experience with you. First of all, Soledad Bros. and Hot Hot Heat opened for them. The Soledad Bros. were incredible. I liked Hot Hot Heat, but I felt that they still need to develop more as a band. There was just something about them that I didn't like. We were expecting The White Stripes to go on at 9pm, but they walked on stage at 9:35pm. No problem... but you could feel in the crowd the anticipation. They casually walk on stage, Jack picks up his guitar, Meg sits at her drums and it's on! Right from the beginning they had me in awe. Seriously! I was sitting in Row A in the center (I have a friend that scored me those seats). Jack White had his hair in his face the majority of the time and I was just aching to see his face. Every now and then he would flip it back and I would get a partial look. I mean come on... I am sitting that close... I want to see him close up. They sounded amazing and I must say... give it up for Meg White! She is incredible too! I like her style. :) They sang around 27 songs before walking off stage and then they came back on and did 3 more. During the last two songs Jack moved that hair out of his eyes and ladies... I have to say... he is pretty spectacular. ;) It's a shame he hids behind his hair most of the time. For those of you who have seen them live, you know what I am talking about when I say... "WOW!" Jack White is extremely talented. When he was talking to the audience he was talking in this funny voice... but you can't help but love the guy. :cool: At the vey end he flicked his guitar pic into the audience and it feel next to us. My husband dove for it and was in a wrestling match for it. I thought there was no way he would get it, but he did!!!! So we have Jack White's guitar pick! :lol: I just wanted to share my experience with all of you. It was an incredible show! It's amazing that it's just he and Meg up there.

I very good question Ghaladan! I am not sure. I don't think they have ever been honest about that. :idea2: I read in Q magazine once that they are brother and sister.

Wow! I was thinking the same thing. There is something hypnotic about Jack.

Yeah, I am wondering how they pull off it just being him and Meg. I mean, who plays the piano or bass guitar? Do they have another person on stage with them? I am so excited to see them!

Jack White/The White Stripes I am see them this Wednesday in L.A!!! I've never seen them perform live, but I am sure that they rock. Who here has seen them play live? Also, I naturally like lead singers of bands... but Jack White has a certain something that makes him sexy. Does anyone agree? :D

I think I would still definitely notice him and check him out.

Just a question. If you were to see Chris Martin on the street and you didn't know who he was and he wasn't famous, would you give him a second look? I think it's important to note that I definitely WOULD give him a second look. :o I guess my point is that I think a lot of people who like him, like him because he is a singer in a band and he has charisma etc.

Jack White - White Stripes Okay, does anyone else love this guy? I don't mean like in a ga-ga-go-go way. I just think he is amazingly talented. You'll have to forgive me, but I just bought the new White Stripes CD (I know, I am a little late) and I LOVE IT!!! :D

WOW! That's all I can say. He is stunning! :o And my goodness... he's British and I am weak when it come to that. And let's give it up for Legolas!

Sorry, I disagree. Of course, losing it is not a good thing. I guess I am just saying that I can understand WHY he did.

In regards to Chris's arrest, I say BRAVO! I think it's about friggin' time that someone got in those photographers faces. :smug: We all know that Chris is a gentleman ;) but when pushed and pushed and pushed... I can see how he would have lost it. :annoyed: He doesn't strike me as the type to lose it just for one single little thing. This is a result of him being hounded by the press so much that he had had enough. So I say... YEAHHHHH CHRIS!!!! :cheesy:

ShibbNani- The trick to that is trying to anticipate when they will say "call now" and you dial right before they say it and then you might get a ring tone. I did this for The White Stripes tix and I was caller # 3 and one time I was caller #1. You'd think I could win something just for that! Oh well. :shrug:

Does anyone dig this band? I just recently got into them. They are pretty good and that Jack White is very talented. I am seeing them play the Greek Theatre in LA in the pit!!! I am excited.

Today I tried to get Radiohead pre-sale tickets for the LA show. It SUCKS! Pre-sale my ass!!! They give you the crappiest seats. Anyway, I refused to pay almost $250.00 to be close to the lawn! Sorry... just had to vent.
