  3. Now that Talk was eliminated I hope to see Square One as the winner. So my vote goes to White Shadows.
  4. Thank you so much for sharing your experience. There were a couple of lines that mean so much to me.
  5. White Shadows. Talk and Square One should be in the final round. Talk has the right words I want to say when I'm not brave enough. And, in this song, we can see they have the ability to sample a song and make it perfect. Square One, as I mentioned it before is one of their best openers. I don't have anything against White Shadows but Square One and Talk means so much to me.
  6. A friend of mine is a teacher and posted this on Facebook: Every time I teach English to my students they stop singing banda and start singing Coldplay songs. And look at the number of likes ;) <42
  7. All the remaining songs are fantastic it's hard to choose a song. I'll vote for Speed of Sound. I want Talk and Square One to go on the final round now that Fix You has been eliminated. Tears stream down my face :'(
  8. Great!!! Well deserved for X&Y!!!
  9. Speed of Sound. Just because I want Fix You to be saved, it deserves to be in the final round. It's one of their best songs talking about the most popular ones. I can't talk about the instruments and the production because I don't know anything about it. But I can talk about the feelings it has transmitted over the years, when fans hear it in a concert we literally see tears streaming down their faces. It's one of those songs where we can see the whole band singing together making it harder to identify who is singing (well, at least for me). Please, save Fix You!
  10. Viva is the best era and it's not necessary to explain why. AROBTTH
  11. Thanks for your kind words :) . I tried another time. This is my list. I promise I didn't cheat :) 1. Oceans - Coldplay 2. The World Turn Upside Down - Coldplay 3. Washing of the water - Peter Gabriel 4. Sleeping Sun - Coldplay 5. Politik - Coldplay 6. Skyfall - Adele 7. Everything's not lost - Coldplay 8. Atlas - Coldplay 9. Sing - Ed Sheeran 10. Secret - Maroon 5
  12. I'll post my list even though it is a little bit embarrassing. I promise I have so much better songs but my guilty pleasure playlist wanted to appear. 1. The wanted - I found you 2. OneRepublic - love runs out 3. Maroon 5 - Just a feeling 4. Coldplay - Princess of China 5. Ed Sheeran - Let it out 6. Coldplay - Things I don't Understand 7. The Wanted - Drunk on love 8. Capital Cities - Tell me How to live 9. Coldplay - Charlie Brown 10. Maroon 5 - Sad
  13. I'm having the same problem. I've just finished listening to the whole album to decide which song I should vote for. But, I found it harder to choose one. Each song has something special what makes it difficult to choose one. Maybe I'll just try to save Square One or Fix You or Talk or White Shadows or Speed of Sound I don't know!
  14. I agree with you because I think Coldplay has the ability to make incredible songs in any kind of genre. If you don't like pop, you have the alternative rock to listen to and vice versa . There isn't any bad song, it's just a matter of taste in music.
  15. Probably, but to be honest, I haven't heard Paradise on my local radio or TV programs. Viva la Vida is the one I've heard more often. And I still love that coincidence, maybe I'll add it into my top 3 songs ;)
  16. Teacher, because Liam Gallagher said Chris looked like a Geography teacher. The Oracle vs Anchorman Ps. Penelopeja remember that the game is about things related to Coldplay ;)
  17. Here it's mine. I wasn't a fan of having my own CDs or mp3 files to listen to the music I enjoyed. Most of the songs I heard before were thanks to my parents who used to listen to 70's and 80's music. So, the first time I listen to Coldplay was when my father's nephew shared him a playlist of modern music which included Clocks, What If and Beautiful World (now I know the correct name is Don't Panic). My father instantly loved Clocks and so I did, but as I mentioned before I didn't pay a lot of attention to it. Even a teacher played it in class comparing the version of Buena Vista Social Club to the Coldplay's one and once again I loved it but I wasn't curious to look for it. I also remember hearing Viva la Vida and instantly loving it, but I didn't ask for the name of the song. Later, in 2011, I had my own computer and I thought it was a great opportunity to start making my own playlist. First, I included songs my classmates listened to. Their taste in music is diverse but I won't mention them because some of the songs are in my guilty pleasure playlist. Then, I thought I should include songs I discovered by myself. That is when I decided to look at the 2012 Grammy nominees. I believed, if they're nominated it's because they are great. I don't remember all the singers I looked for, I just remember listening to Paradise for the first time. My first impression about the video was it's the weirdest video I ever seen but at the same time I loved it. The idea of including elephant costumes was different to what we see in mainstream singers plus the song was wonderful. Then I listened to Every Teardrop is a Waterfall. I loved it. The lyrics described my beliefs and inspired me to keep moving forward. In that moment I started listening to more of their songs and I loved all of them which was great because that didn't happen with other bands or singers. Before, I enjoyed listening to the most famous songs but when I listened to the rest of their records I skipped them. But it didn't happen with Coldplay. Each song led me to another amazing song. Ps. Is it weird that Paradise led us to Coldplay?
  18. I completely agree with that. The passion of the song got lost when they played it. And in the final round I'd like to see Fix You and Talk. They are my top two. Or maybe Square One for me they're the core of the album.
  19. I thought you were one of those who didn't like Princess of China? What is your opinion about it
  20. I'm so sorry, but Square One is one of the best openers Coldplay has ever written. The lyrics and the music match perfectly to set what we'll hear in the album. Gravity is really good, I love the song, but it is not as good as the other remaining 5.
