Well I have been reading endless reviews and opinions, I have chatted to friends who play either bass or guitar and I went to a music shop in half term and it just seemed better for me than the normal guitar...I felt like I couldn't go any further with it so I decided to take up bass. I have been saving up carefully and selling my old guitar stuff and I have just about enough money to get a "proper" bass guitar and a beefy amplifier as well. I think it is easier in that there are less strings but you have to have a good sense of rhythm and timing and you will be like the backbone of your group or whatever. You will always be in demand as well! Let me know how you get on!

The other day on TMF (a music channel on freeview) they were doing a 10 most expensive houses or something like that and at one point the intro to God Put A Smile Upon Your Face came in! So cool! And then it cut to the riff...no words though. They also used Banquet by Bloc Party which I love!
