I've never really been a Radiohead fan persay, I've only liked Street Spirit, Creep and Karma Police... but I've just heard Let Down and that is really nice :stunned: Just wow. It's just that I'm not big on their eccentric sound sometimes they seem to have on some songs...so are there any other recommendations of Radiohead songs like Let Down or similar?

But there's this teacher I have for Comp Tech and he flirts with every girl in my school, and that's saying a lot since I go to an all girls school. Like, he winked at my friend and always wants to talk to us alone separately...but he never does that to other students as much :thinking: I think he just wants to fit in and be liked in the school cos when I talk to my friends about Coldplay in class, he chirps in and says "Yeah, yeah Coldplay is cool!" And then another friend of mine asks if he likes The Killers, and he says "yes them too!" He's like "I like all types of music, but rock is more my scene." Scene? Are you kidding me? He looks around 37 and he goes about trying to speak in our "lingo" and buys Chucks just when everyone around here is wearing them? Geeze. He's trying too hard. :rolleyes:

How about creating a club at your school for Oxfam/Make Poverty History/etc and try to reach some sort of goal? That way you are creating awareness and getting people involved in a productive way. I guess this depends on how much time you have and if you decide to continue running the club after the project is completed. Like in my school, my friend started up an Amnesty International club which I'm the graphic designer for and our first meeting had a huge turn out which was both pleasing and surprising. Or if you had an assembly coming up, do some sort of performace or skit. Students do it to promote a cause or raise awareness like a huge powerpoint in the gym set to music with slides about poverty or such. Just some thoughts :wink:

This guy I really really liked came up to me while we were in the school gym and he told me that I have a good heart and I was simply estatic that I ran to my friend to tell her. I didn't even have time to say thanks or whatnot...I kinda stood there and then bolted... :laugh4: I was totally in love with this guy and I knew something was there...but he had to move away and you know the story...:sad:

The Coldplay "Love Actually" dvd has been discussed before in the MM section and it's actually just an unofficial documentary. As for HMV telling people here that the release date is Oct. 24... well I have no idea. As it was said before, HMV is a huge Canadian chain and they wouldn't lie like that to us right? Unless they were clueless about the whole fiasco and EMI failed to inform them. Well, I'm going to the mall today, so I plan to ask HMV myself too :wink:
