Track 12 - Coloratura | Music of the Spheres
The more I listen to this song, the more I love it. I notice something new every time. Wow. Top 10 Coldplay song and I'm not ashamed to say it. Just like Arabesque.

Well-said. I'd like to add that ALIENS has a refugee-centric narrative too. And the name for Moving to Mars came from a Mat Whitecross documentary about Burmese refugees. Anyways, I'm glad someone else got Muse vibes. It reminds me of the grandiosity of some of Matt Bellamy's piano playing, with lots of classical influences. As I listen to Coloratura more and more, I hear lots of similarities to United States of Eurasia, including its outro which comes from a classical piano piece by Chopin.

===The ultimate Oldplaying Thread===S, BS, TBR, P, AROBTTH, X&Y, VLV, PM===
I did listen to My Universe in full earlier today. And, quite frankly, I think it's one of the worst things they've ever done. But then, just hours later, I also listened to Coloratura for the first time. And Coloratura is keeping me from losing hope for the rest of the album... not to mention, any future albums and EPs. Coloratura is the Coldplay I fell in love with. Along with many of the songs on Everyday Life and a couple of the songs on the Kaleidoscope EP, it's proof that Oldplay is still alive. It may not come out of hiding all the time, but when it does, it still blows my mind. Just like it did on that night I listened to X&Y for the first time, maybe 10 years ago.

Track 12 - Coloratura | Music of the Spheres
Wow... just, wow. This is the Coldplay I fell in love with. 10 minutes of ethereal beauty. It's like what would happen if David Bowie's Life on Mars and Space Oddity are combined with Coldplay's Moving to Mars, Death And All His Friends, What If, Hypnotised, and Square One. Coloratura is a space rock ballad of the highest quality, one that touches the heart and takes you on a ride across deep space. Best album closer they've ever done. Maybe even one of the greatest Coldplay songs, period. I didn't expect anything like it on MOTS, even after Everyday Life was filled with some great experimentation. But wow... this is the kind of song I've always wanted from them. Well done.

Another long Muse song I love is Unnatural Selection. And there's the gorgeous Exogenesis: Symphony which is divided into three parts and goes on for about 13 minutes. Snow Patrol's The Lightning Strike is 16 minutes and 18 seconds long. It's considered a single song but it's divided into three tracks. There are a bunch of long Oasis songs on their Be Here Now album. All Around The World is 9 minutes 20 seconds long and it's the longest song they ever released. It just goes on and on and on and on and on until it finally fades out. There's also an instrumental reprise. So in a way the whole song is actually about 11 and a half minutes long.

Track 10 - My Universe | Coldplay X BTS | Music of the Spheres
I'm not a fan of this at all. I don't know what the Korean lyrics are but the English ones are some of the most cheesy stuff I've ever heard in a Coldplay song. Oftentimes when Chris's lyrics are nothing special, I'll still like the song just because of the instrumentals and the vocal melody. But even those are just so... generic. That weird robotic voice that you hear a couple of times sounds so out of place. The intro is weird. The outro is decent but the false ending after the last chorus is weird. I suppose the best things about this song are Guy's bass groove, the ambient bits toward the end, and Will's drumming in the outro. Nothing else stands out to me. What a shame... maybe this will grow on me eventually, but the song is bad enough in my opinion that after several listens, I can't see myself coming back to it until it's officially released. Oh well, maybe the BTS fanbase will enjoy My Universe. If they do, I'll be glad for them. And I do hope it does well in terms of charts and streaming.

Music Of The Spheres Track List
Well... you got some of them right. Music of the Spheres Higher Power Human Heart Biutyful (which I'm assuming is just a different spelling of "beautiful") My Universe And, well, the name "Colors of the World" has "color" in it so maybe you accidentally predicted Coloratura ? Reminds me of the time I jokingly predicted that AHFOD would have a song called Birds because of how often Chris writes lyrics about birds and flying

I'm so confused right now. My Universe appears to have leaked not long after Higher Power came out but wasn't circulated widely and I've only heard maybe 10 seconds of it. I really hope the whole album hasn't leaked this far in advance... but I wouldn't be surprised if it has. This kind of thing happens to a lot of popular artists.

They could be related. It might be a coincidence, but this one could be a reworked and full band version of WOTW/POTP. Remember the whole thing about UFO 2 and a "finished" version of Us Against The World? Maybe those will be on volume 2 or 3. No matter what, they must have a lot of new material in the works.

Full album announcement with a full track list. Album cover that's the same as the teaser in the Everyday Life booklet. Wow. The "vol.i" bit in the announcement definitely has me thinking. Why mention that if there's no "vol.ii" on the way in the next couple of years? And "vol.iii" to fit with the "melodic orbit in three parts" thing? Could those be further studio albums in the coming years, which would basically make MOTS the biggest project they've ever done? I was under the impression that the album would just be divided into three distinct parts, maybe four songs each. But now that doesn't seem to be the case.

I think it sounds like Viva la Vida. Except it's not driven by strings. Probably a catchy single, that's for sure. Maybe it's a reprise of MOTS, just like how A Hopeful Transmission is based on Mylo Xyloto, Colour Spectrum borrows from the intro to AHFOD, and The Escapist is an extended version of the Life In Technicolor intro.

The last track does sound like a sequel of sorts to Everyday Life (the song). We know Human Heart is a bit like When I Need A Friend. I'm sure you're not wrong about MOTS being Everyday Life's pop sister. Also, I swear that's the Cry Cry Cry voice in one of the clips.

Alright, I've been gone for a few days but I did get to hear the snippets. Some of it sounds exactly like the kind of stuff I don't want to hear from Coldplay because it's too similar to the AHFOD and Ghost Stories sound. But there's some cool stuff, too. And these are just little snippets, not full songs.

What's with Phil and The Race? He clearly loves it. Hopefully he can pull through. The lyrics from the leaked Ghost Stories-era version would fit well on a space-themed album. At the very least, if The Race isn't in the main track list of MOTS, it could be a bonus track. Just a little present for the fans who have been waiting for it.

Actually, I don't have an account on that site. You're thinking of somebody else, who nonetheless has a very good taste in music ?

Back The Way We Came Vol. 1 is Noel's 12th UK #1 album. 12th. And this is a compilation album with only two new songs. Absolutely incredible. This acoustic version of If I Had a Gun is so beautiful. Noel's acoustic stuff has been amazing ever since the early days of Oasis, but this is just about perfect.

Higher Power Official Music Video - Out Now!
Maybe they're hinting at the BTS collab that was apparently confirmed by a leaked snippet the other day. The promo really is weird, though. It makes sense to have a normal music video and a lyric video, but they've released four music videos now. I don't think they've ever made this many for one song.

Right at the same time that a snippet of the Coldplay & BTS song apparently leaked. It has been a bizarre last few days as an Oldplay fan ? We got stripped down Violet Hill and Sparks along with the Square One snippet, which was really cool. I thought we were just gonna get acoustic Higher Power and maybe ASFOS or AOAL.

Huh, this is a funny coincidence. Ian Brown was the lead singer of the Stone Roses. And this was one of his solo albums:

Funny how Chris and Jonny played a little bit of Square One and then this happened The whole live stream sounded great. Odd choice of songs apart from Higher Power, but I was pleasantly surprised. It's cool to know that they're still willing to acknowledge some of those Oldplay gems. Anyways I haven't heard the BTS snippet but I guess I just gotta accept that it's happening... BTS covered Fix You, Coldplay recruited Korean dancers for Higher Power, random rumors exploded on the internet, it's gonna happen. They're just waiting to release it. Oftentimes, the most popular single on a Coldplay album is not the first one they release. It's usually the second one. This collaboration will probably be the next single.

Once again, Chris is trying so hard to keep quiet ? The other day there was someone on... Reddit, I think? And they were saying the album is set to be released in October. I obviously don't know if they are correct. And even if they are, things could change between now and then. Coldplay albums have been delayed before so who knows? Also, I'm just gonna leave this here... I want them to release The Race so badly and who knows, this may be its year. Maybe Phil will convince them to do it.
