I might be wrong, but wasn't Miracles one of the unreleased MX tracks either seen on a chalkboard or in the MX artwork itself?

I hope Miracles has some lyrics that allude to WWII. That would be uncharted territory for Coldplay, discussing the experiences of war using the same emotion they've mastered all throughout their career. Don't want to get anyone's hopes up though!

I like that they themselves use the word 'beautiful' about it. Must be *very* beautiful then!

What is really interesting for me is that the film is directed by Angelina Jolie :wacko: It's her first film, isn't it?

She also wrote and directed "In the Land of Blood and Honey" about the Bosnian War

Looking forward to this song. I felt Atlas didn't really get the plaudits it deserved, hopefully Miracles will be even better!

As Coldplay have done so much for us it's time to give something back, let's make "Miracles" the Christmas Number 1 so Coldplay can go in the music history books.

Miracles is on the latest release schedule for 15th Dec meaning it will come out with the soundtrack if the date stays true.

No, I can't but no, it isn't.

 

The Dutch website only says that this week Miracles has been confirmed to be released as a single in The Netherlands. It doesn't mention when it will be released.

I think LP7 will be quite upbeat so I don't think it will be linked to Miracles. We could hear it sooner but it may not be released until 15th Dec.

If LP7 is right around the corner, then I think yes. Christmas Lights had nothing to do with MX because they were spaced by over a year, but Atlas definitely showed that Coldplay's recording sessions were including electronics, old sounds, and more moody then suddenly upbeat sentiments: Ghost Stories. If the band is recording LP7 now, and Miracles was one of their first projects in that recording process, then I think you are right. I am posing a 80% probability :inquisitive: that we can expect at least some of the elements of Miracles to make LP7, if they are recorded close to each other.

^ But we don't know yet if Miracles is not upbeat. Anything is possible!

^:) Anything is possible eh? Good point though! Seeing how it is a story about survival and perseverance, and the track closes out the credits, my guess is beautiful, sentimental sounding verses, piano heavy, with joyous epic chorus.
