I generally have no idea where this post would go so I've just whacked it here but I know it'll end up some place else - Evening Coldplayers, I have a couple of gigs stored on my laptop which I am sure are available to download via this wonderful site but as I have them I intend to trim/edit them, can anybody provide me with some info on what software I should use to trim/edit these gigs so I have them in a separate song format and not just one file, thanks, Jack!

So I don't know how many other coldplayers live in Chicago, but I'm sure a good number of us in the U.S. know of the upcoming NATO summit in a couple days. Recently protesters from around the country have been flooding into Chicago by the busload and the city has been gearing up rather intensely for every possible scenario. It's all a bit crazy to me as I haven't experienced this level of alert in this city since 9/11 and it's going to make transportation an absolute hell this weekend. The G8 summit was also supposed to be held here but due to security issues has been moved to Camp David. Military helicopters are making routine runs through the loop and around other areas…

As an American fan of two iconic British exports, James Bond and Doctor Who, I have a question... Which role is a bigger deal from a cultural / media standpoint when it comes to being recast? I know there is a large amount of press coverage and public debate regarding the casting of both roles but does one seem to gain more attention then the other? Does one character seem to have more importance to British pop culture? Perhaps as an observer from afar I have overestimated the importance of these characters to your culture but from what I have seen both seem to be nothing less then national institutions... just how much weight do they carry in the UK? As far as c…

President Barack Obama has a new campaign slogan: “Forward.” Obama’s re-election team unveiled its new motto in a video released Monday morning. The seven-minute video begins by recalling the grim state of the nation’s economy when Obama took office, then ticks through what the campaign says are the president’s accomplishments, both on the economy and other issues. The campaign also uses the video to target congressional Republicans, saying Obama had to overcome GOP obstruction on Capitol Hill in order to pass legislation.
