We consider Coldplay to be one of our biggest inspirations and many people have told us that it is represented in our songs.

i don't really think it sounded like Coldplay....although if you really want people to listen to your band...you should have posted more posts, i'm guessing, rather than make your first post a "Listen to my band"...thread.

You have to ease them in gentley...make some friends, and THEN, when people see a post from you, they'll go "Ahhh...i like this person, i'll read his post.." then they're most likely to download the music or even visit the page in the first place"

haha..I don't properly have any fully recorded demos.....although...i never said that was my plan :artist: :P

He hit the nail on the head, as it is now, it's spam and I'm not clicking on it. :D

He listens to dntel, though, so he must be at least somewhat cool. :P

I do listen to DNTEL and a lot of other "cool" music, including coldplay. I don't see how it is spam just because it is my first post on this site, but take it as you will, no biggie. I just thought people would be interested in hearing some new music - regardless of how well they know the band/musicians. At least i didn't post in an inappropriate forum.

also...it IS 6:57...and i've not slept in 3 days... :rolleyes: it gave me something to do!. although, i wish i'd listened to bjork or something :cool:

Well, see... it's your band, so you're obviously not just trying to introduce us to new music.

 

But you've got a point, at least you didn't just come into every thread in every forum, say "listen to my band!" and then leave forever. ;)

I'm not trying to be a smartass - just interested in discussing this a bit.

 

I always thought of spam as unwanted advertisement. While what i posted could be considered an ad - i'm not even trying to sell anything. Also, from my interpretation, this is a section of the forum that one would post about a new band to hear. And, i think that our music is something a coldplay fan may like, I mean, I'm not posting on the Korn forum or something.

well, the guy is IN this conversation...so, i don't want to say it's Bad...but, it's not really my mind of music....but it still could be good :)

You can say its bad if you want. It won't bother me. I know that not everybody will like everything.

 

Which also makes me think that you can't promise anybody that they will like something.

Don't worry. I am not offended. And I did just notice that you said "almost" It just seems you can never predict if anyone will like something. peoples taste is very unpredictable.

welcome to the board vincent, its refreshing to see someone create a band without using the word 'The' to start its name :cool:

Thank you. We certainly are not the kind of band trying to fit into a particular scene such as so many bands do these days.
