May 13, 200818 yr Garden state 9.5/10 Such a great movie, wasnt expecting that ! :nice: it gave me chills when Dont panic came on ! oh! at last someone who agrees with me! they all say it´s good, but not impressive. It was great, and such a good soundtrack, by the way... well, i went yesterday to the movies, and i saw an argentinian movie called "El nido vacío" ("The empty nest"), about what happens to couples when children are grown up and independent. It was perfect! Great acting and story line, the photography blew my mind, and also the soundtrack flowed with it so beautifully. I dont usually watch this kind of movies in the cinema, but i wanted to support national cinematography, and i went out of the place so surprised and at peace. I love it when that happens... Anyway, i give it 9.5/10

May 18, 200818 yr The Corporation. A very solid documentary. What it's about is self-explanatory. It may not be news to some of you, but if you want a look into the corporation and about some of its history and its far-reaching impact it has on the world (most of it, not good), this is a good start. I saw a good portion of it on a movie channel back in the late Fall. I bought it shortly thereafter because of the hour or so I saw of it, I really liked. However, I just recently watched it. I don't know why exactly it took me so long to getting around to watching it but it was worth the money and worth the two and a half hours of my time. It was an emotional roller coaster for me, partly because material like this gets me fired up. But that fire was also put out by tears because it drew me in, only to make me feel angry and even sad at some of the footage, namely the death of a young man, shot dead in a wide protest in the attempted privatization of public water in (I believe) a Latin American country. Can you imagine that? Privatizing water... It does give the viewer hope, even with some landmark cases here in the states, designed to lessen the impact and power of corporations in certain cities. Here's a link to the trailer and to the official site http://www.thecorporation.com It's based on a book by Joel Bakan and I am going to have to give the book a read now.
