i'm applying there for next year :surprised: all my mates are going on gap year tours around the world so i'll be all alone anyway, but i wanna go to UCL :cool: i'm sure you'll be fine in good ol' newcastle though; you'll make lots of new mates!

EVERYONE I know is going to universities in Northern Ireland (I actually live in Northern Ireland) fucking sad people, they just want to be as close to home as possible!

 

Besides I dont even like any of them :D But yeah, I'll arrive with nobody to hang out with. Is that not at least a little bit daunting?

oh sorry i thought you lived in Ireland (woops) i thought the point of uni was to gain independence away from home as well as learning :stunned: ah well, it is daunting, but you'll probs end up meeting people there that'll end up being friends of yours for yeaaaars, within a few weeks you'll be fine!

Im studying Film Studies, Journalism and Sociology.

My friends are stupid, they're all going to live with eachother and seeing as they have basically been friends in the same high school for the past SEVEN years, they'll have to be totally sick of eachother (And some of them already are without admitting it- so what do you do? Move into a house with someone you dont even like YEAH)

next year? i'll be doing my A levels in History, Spanish and English Lit, then hopefully after that onto to uni to do a combined degree in Spanish and History. I'm dropping Media Studies after my AS levels in 7 weeks :wink3:

so what do you hope to be at the end of everything? a journalist?

I have no idea! Another worrying fact of the future. Basically I picked 3 courses that sounded Nice. I think Im a talented capable person but I need to put my mind to something (Im very lucky Ive gotten this far without any goal in life)

i'm thinking music journalism, but i'm not 100% certain atm, i just know that i cannot have an office job, i just can't! that would be my idea of hell.

what's scary is that everyone else seems to know what they want to do when they're older, do you find that?

Ahhh wait until next year. When I was in 6th year (I dont know the system where your from but when I was in your year) it seemed like a lot of people knew, and this year its like from the start everyone knows exactly where theyre going what theyre going to be where they'll live and what they're going to name their 4 children and dog too. :o

 

Its intimidating for someone who still doesnt know what theyre doing haha. :rolleyes:
