in the lake of the woods by tim obrien

One day in the life of Ivan Denisovich by Aleksandr Solzhenitsyn.

i read that for school. it's a pretty pleasant book imo, makes you think outside the box. what he says about not being able to describe warmth to a cold man ... !

The Mysterious Flame of Queen Loana by Umberto Eco.

That guy is genius, seriously good book.

haha I just read it :D

Really? That's cool! :)

Did you like it?

I'm working on Lake Wobegon Days by Garrison Kellior

Jeffrey Eugenides - The Virgin Suicides

Franz Kafka - America.

A study in scarlet, by Sir Arthur Conan Doyle (in english version) downloaded from project gutenberg, i recomend you that site.

I finished The Time Traveller's Wife by Audrey Niffenegger yesterday (second time I've read it, beautiful book).

Also finished A Child Called 'It' by Dave Pelzer yesterday as well. Really sad that there are people out there who go through that stuff.

reading The Da Vinci Code - Dan Brown

yeah, yeah, i'm late...my friend just read it and im borrowing it off her.. ;)

Sebastian Faulks ~ Birdsong

Amazing book really. I recommend all Faulk's books.

Edit: Better read it in english that in a translated version in my opinion.

Jeffrey Eugenides - The Virgin Suicides

Woop, tell me what do you think of it! Because i'm thinking of reading it, too

Lamb by Christopher Moore. It's cute and hysterical so far.

Brave New World (Aldous Huxley)

I had to read that for school last year. It's an alright book, but if you're reading it for school I feel sorry for you. We had to analyse it in relation to our module (In The Wild) and compare/contrast it to the movie Bladerunner. otherwise, it's kinda interesting.

The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy - the Trilogy of Four by Douglas Adams

^ Well, we had to do it for the school, but make comparison with the movie "The Island" (also made by his other book) instead. It was alright...

Right now...

1984 (George Orwell)

try being told you read the grapes of wrath by john steinbeck, the size of that book alone is intimidating but our teacher was great, the whole 5-600 pages flew by like 300 lol

i'm not reading anything right now. a friend of mine gave me beyond band of brothers a month ago and i have yet to open it - i will but with studies starting next week it may take a while.
