October 11, 200421 yr the extended versions are great!! I think I'll rent it first, then buy the entire box set of the 3 movies including the extended versions, they are definitely worth having... ;)

I've read the books three times..... I love Tolkien!!! You guys should read (the LOTR if you haven't already) The Hobbit. Ā In the movie, the book was called "There and Back Again, A Hobbit's Tale." But, it is about Bilbo's adventures, it's really good too.
October 13, 200421 yr Hey, your not a nerd, they are classics! I am half way through the first book...I started late I know but they are just amazing. I will eventually finish it even if it's only a few pages at a time, I read it before bed. Just like that quote on the back of the first book "The english speaking world is..." or however it goes :)

October 13, 200421 yr I was glad they left out all the Shire scenes at the end of Return of the King, because that movie is WAY TOO DAMN LONG as it is. I didn't mind it when I was reading the books, but when I was watching that movie I was praying to God that they cut those scenes out, because I wanted to get out of there. :lol:
