I heard about intepol back in 2003 thanks to julia and not a single soul liked them here till someone posted a pic :dozey: oh shallow girls, what is this world coming to? :stunned:

 

Dont kill me but sometimes its true..like we guys love bands for the music and most girl just love them for the looks ...like my friend' sis who always loved britney but now she's a hardcore coldplay fan thanks to Guy :cry:

Nah, I have to disagree here. Paul Banks is one ugly moffucker, seriously now, Camu, be quiet, he IS.

 

Ladies are attracted to his voice and all that. Daniel Kessler is a very handsome man though, yet hes the lesser mentioned of the two guys. Carlos D is also very ugly but looks ok from far away, hes a freak, Allessa was totally right (She showed me the way!).

 

Yeah, so Paul banks, in most cases girls seem to be attracted to him by his style and shenshitivity and all that harky.

I actually discovered them on a forum.. never having heard a song in my life until I heard Slow Hands on the radio...

 

 

its good music. period. The same thing ha happened to Coldplay... especially after this album drops.... you wont be able to escape them! lol

OK, agreed. But I've heard a LOT of good music, Im sure you have too, better then Interpol of course, and through lack of interest I just find myself leaving a bands CD to dust off in the corner as I'll forget about them

 

Interpols trendyness means you're interest in them grows, is extended. If it wasnt for their popularity, Im sure people would have began to forgot about them and their last CD (Which was released like I dunno 8 months ago?).

 

 

I'm sorry.. I have to disagree!! lol trend to me means that it will soon pass and fade.. BUT you have to remember that they are becoming more popular.. and they soon will have an audience much bigger than the bar packed crowds they once packed in!!! They happen to opening for 2 of the biggest bands in the past 20 years or so.. (U2 and Coldplay) that'll bring added exposure as well.. but as for the lyrics in siggys and stuff... I have always had some sort of lyric I am feelin at the moment in my sigg.. if I started the trend.. lol well go me!! :P

Yeah but you make a good point bringing up The Killers and Maroon 5, but what Im saying is that Interpol are kinda a LEFT field trend. Theyre the closest thing to being underground in the mainstream.

 

But still a total trend. And its because they arent as mainstream as Killers or Maroon 5 that they have this left-field popularity. Its not a new or fresh popularity either...

 

Basically people on here may be afraid to like the Killers or Maroon 5 as much because little 8 year olds are buying their singles too (And they are on the OC soundtrack :sick: ) but with Interpol, you can fucking adore them! They have credibility, theyre cool, new and hip, and they make good music!

 

GOOD. Music. Nothing extraordinary for my money.

 

You can come on here and love the hell out of them because theyre a safe band to like, credibility is something thats being forgotten about these days but its still in the back of everyones heads.

I like the Killers... been rocking to them for over a year!! Before they were 'cool' to listen to ... I hate Maroon 5 though.. that I won't hide!! haha I also openly admit that I like Justin Timberlake.. and Christina Aguilera... lol

see the thing I have come to know about Interpol fans is that they are 'overwhelmed' by them... they engulf your entire being... your way of life.. and its for a good feeling at that! I know of only a few bands/artists that I like that have made an impact in my life for the better. Interpol being one of them. Not because they are cute.... not because they smoke.. but because the music speaks to me like no other.
