Ambergris
This is actually the most interesting thing I've heard of today... an Arabic proverb He, who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool. Shun him. He, who knows not and knows that he knows not is a child. Teach him. He, who knows and knows not that he knows is asleep. Wake him. He, who knows and knows that he knows is a wise man. Follow him.
Ambergris
An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep. Arab Proverb A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step. Chinese proverb He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever. Chinese proverb millennial wisdom around this thread :)

girlstar
 I don't even know if Australia has a proverb! I remember my dad said something like "the bigger the hat the smaller the property" but I think he was kidding.
Reilly
'He, who knows not and knows not that he knows not is a fool. Shun him' Thats unfair, Arabic proverbs and Chinese proverbs are too hardcore strict on people. Though Japanese and Thai proverbs here would advise us to 'Wake him', make him aware of his foolishness. 'He, who knows not and knows that he knows not is a child. Teach him. Yeah, like that. The ignorant should be shown. 'He, who knows and knows not that he knows is asleep. Wake him. He, who knows and knows that he knows is a wise man. Follow him.' Thats pretty cool. I just dont see how any of this is interesting though, probably one of the least interesting things Ive read today (Including another Lil Devil topic on Fit Males :P) "An army of sheep led by a lion would defeat an army of lions led by a sheep." Arab Proverb Hahaha yeah sure, fucking sheep fluff everywhere. I'd put my life savings on the sheep-led army. Well no thats speaking in realistic terms, if an army of lions stayed completely loyal to the orders, they'd cower, retreat and lose, obviously. But this doesnt apply to real life, and Arab proverbs never do, and thats where they fail, grasshopper. "A journey of a thousand miles begins with a single step." Chinese proverb "He who asks is a fool for five minutes, but he who does not ask remains a fool forever." Chinese proverb Yeah, wise. Chinese proverbs always intend to inspire the individual and not teach anything. "You are allowed to fall, but it's an obligation to wake up!" Russian proverb Thats the most random and absurd thing I've read in a long time. Sounds like something a senial person would say. "That, who is afraid of suffer is now suffering of fear" Chinese proverb Yeah, more inspiration of facing fears, Chinese are the best for this. I remember my dad said something like "the bigger the hat the smaller the property" but I think he was kidding. Haha! Thats funny. Australia is kinda, a bit like a jokey country nowadays, in a good way. We just like to think Australians love Fosters, BBQ's and kangaroo's but there is a lot of history in many different parts of the country. Believe it or not, one ancient Australian proverb is: "Fuck it, lets do it." Which sounds like something Bruce Willis might say. Uh, probably the most famous one is 'Cleanliness is next to Godliness'. I never quite thought that was very wise though.

"Fuck it, lets do it" was actually one of our Proverbs?  Haha, the funny thing about people thinking Australians love Fosters, BBQ's and kangaroos is that it's true! (Aside from the Kangaroo thing) we are a beer and barbeque loving country. I don't mind if people think we talk and dress like Steve Irwin, or that we have kangaroos jumping around in our streets. Still, it's good to know that some people realise we too have lots of history. :)
