on Display 1 i have Video Card "A"

on Display 2 i have Video Card "B"

keep in mind i only have 1 monitor...

 

i want to get Video Card "B" on to Display 1 because it's a nicer card.

 

is there anyway to do this without going into BIOS? it's like the computer just automatically put Video Card "B" onto Display 2 and it can only be on that display. i want to make display 1 use a video card that is on display 2, but i don't know how to switch them?

 

does anyone comprehend this?

i could look up my computing notes but i don't actually understand them :blush:

ok - first do you have a onboard graphics card ( built into motherboard ) or do you have a recent graphics card with twin display out puts ? i can only imagine you have one of the above - if so you have to go into your bios and disable any onboard video so the video card in your pci or agp slot will become the default .

if you dont have a onboard video card then you sound go into your main display properties and choose either display 1 or B in your case . also can you tell me what video card you have . one of the best video cards around are from ATI called Radeon and they have duel display .

yaeh i was worried i'd have to go into BIOS, i'll just have my dad do it, i just have a 64mb pci geforce 4

no probs - but going into your bios can be risky - im ok with bios settings but if you have never tinkerd with your bios then leave it to someone who does but its quite easy to turn on / off the video display .
